And yeah we need MORE SoranoWoto! Even tough I cant imagine a good plot so easily. The main plot was over in the blink of an eye. If that continues... they need something like a mystery treasure hunt into those "No man's Land" at least.

@DunkleMaterie117 It's actually quite easy. Harvest the huge potential behind that intriguing, mysterious post-apocalyptic world the show is set in. They never explained what actually happened to human civilization (must be related to that angel's fossil... the biological weapon from the old age Noel was involved with? Alien invasion? ;) There's enough to fill 100+ episodes with that alone. Add another 100 for the girls doing cute things all day long...

Such a good series. I think I really starting to love anime that don't need to have all the fighting and all the violence in it. A series can be just as good if it has a few good characters, a well written plot, and a large amount of character development. The animators must keep up the good work!

i feel like wanting more from this anime.. like it's always missing just a bit of something to make it perfect.. like how the battle formation of the last episode doesn't make sense at all. If i was one of the soldiers in the last episode i dont think i can concentrate and hear any trumpet sounds.. I would've fired a shot and all hell would've broken loose. Hopefully next season they can put more thought into actual battle strategy and more realism like in one of the flashback episode.

I felt like there was so much hinting of subtle ideas that were later not fully developed on, like the angel and fortress maiden thing, which made it feel rather lacking for me. And I agree the last battle lacked realism.

That battle formation isn't so unrealistic. They're in No Man's Land. There's almost no cover and they have no indirect fire capabilities. Head-on attack is pretty much the only choice.

As for the soldiers being unable to hear, you have to remember that bugle signals are the only form of battlefield communication that they have. Presumably, soldiers are trained to pick out signals from background noise. Even in the flashback (ep. 7), with all the commotion, they used the bugle.

if only there is a S2 i would die happily, being in a ska band (drummer) brass intruments are really over power any other instrument even drums and guitar put together so i wouldn't be uncommon to hear it even it was played far away.
