Judging from your use (or rather misuse) of the English language, I guess you just couldn't make out the title of the film. 'Loving The Alien'. This was a study of their beliefs, not a film about proving or debunking them, but hey, thanks for watching anyway. Incidentally, there is as much evidence for UFOs as there is for a God, yet I don't hear too many people ridiculing the fact that people actually believe a man with a beard who lives in the sky created the universe. It's a funny old world.

Fair enough re: the point of the film (and sorry bot the clumsy typing), i just fail to understand why this bullshit gets so much airtime. There's so many genuinely amazing things happening in the skies that are real, but ignored in favour of cheap mind tricks and self delusion. I agree with your last points to a degree, but am reminded that mathematically, given there are trillions and trillions of stars in the universe that may have earth like planets orbiting them in the habitable zone, many as old or older than our earth, the odds are apparently very favourable that life does exist elsewhere in the universe, and in great numbers. Are they checking us out? Douglas Adams also brought us the idea that they were just bored alien teenagers buzzing earthlings for fun.

I have changed my belief in that recently. We're basically searching for ourselves, because that is how we assume other life exists, in this 'habitable zone'. I've come to the conclusion that life is unusual, even here on Earth, it could basically exist anywhere in or outside this 'zone'. Of course, we search the obvious, and I hope someday we find out.

Lifeforms with acid-like blood, or heavy carbon based, insectoid type if you will, could be more common then this fleshy water based body.

Ronan excellent film. Have you ever tried tracking down people in the Boyle area, or Ireland who've had close encounters of the first kind. That would make an excellent film. The problem with Ireland is that this stuff goes on, but there's no body to give it a voice. Of course, I think you would need to find people who are not delusional, by that I mean who can talk about their (genuine) experiences without trying to add an interpretation beyond stating whatHappened How can you be contacted?

Thanks Padraic. There was a film made on exactly that subject by a guy called Colm Stapleton I think. I wanted to mainly talk to those who were involved in the active hunt for UFO/Aliens without trying to ridicule or mock them. I'm not a UFO person myself but was curious to find out what such people were like and what they had to say about their obviously deeply held beliefs. We ridicule UFO people yet pay deference and respect to religious people whose beliefs are not founded in evidence either
