What's that flag flying under the Stars and Stripes? It's neither Tennessee nor Nashville. I've been trying to figure it out for years...

You are both correct. WFAA was the first to use it. And this is Version 1, as NMSA originally deemed Version 2 as the WFAA 1986 News Theme.
