Eric Why not reinstall the armiture for the emitter without the emitter and a small 3*3 inch chunck of lead marble or ceramic to help 1 "see" the hot spot 2 stop some asshole from reflecting hot spot with a small mirror ? also I'm interested the spec. of this device diameter of your dish the size of your mirrors (1\2") and heat of the hot spot in degrees ? also does it work with artifical light such as a spot light ? If you would rather respond directly my e-mail is page-esquire@hotmail.com
Curiosity and invention comes with free minds and a desire to imagine and create. I am impressed and look forward to this young man's determination and success. It certainly gives me faith that some of the young men and women in the world know how to use their brains and develop their skills at home with their family and surprise us with their ideas.
Hi Mr. Jacqmaine. Would you be interested in taking this further than a death ray? Want to help the world? Search youtube for "watercone." Does it give an inventor like you any ideas?
I'm a retired sociology teacher but I'd sure be interested in helping with this if you're interested. Probably a lot of money and fresh water to be made. :)
Please let me know what you think. I'd imagine I've already got a great design for it.
@Durkheim123 If my math is correct, the R5800 would have been capable of boiling and condensing about .89 liters of water per hour. On a sunny day in Africa, a device like it could generate up to 7.1 liters of clean drinking water over 8 hours. The upcoming R23k would generate 12.7 liters during the same timeframe.
This technology could be extremely useful for such a purpose. I already have a few ideas for a water purification system that will be tested on the next machine.
@EricJacqmain Lol, I'm not surprised you've considered this. Your device is particularly interesting because, although the construction of the watercone is sound in many ways (sturdy, minimalist, etc.), your device's ability to create a parabolic focus centrally "within" a transparent containment system is an advancement. Btw, have you made any calculations concerning a smaller dish for optimal portability? I can see people at sea using yours as well. Thanks for replying. Scott
@Durkheim123 I would have to agree that the watercone is far more "set it and forget it" whereas a parabolic dish needs to be readjusted every 10-15 minutes. Though it requires frequent attention, it could deliver quite an output. A small dish with a foldable tripod mount would be very portable and could meet the drinking water needs of an individual. It would also be great for cooking meals.
@EricJacqmain If you teamed up with someone good at cybernetics you could have your creation automatically adjust itself with the right programming and sensors.
@luckyluke1232 The R23k video will be followed by an in-depth how-to/informational film. I hope to explain how the death rays were built, how they work, and what capabilities they have.

Hey Eric,
Great work dude, how for has R23K has come.
There are lots of people, who don't have stoves to cook, will this help them to cook. They are below poverty line.
Hope it doesn't melt down their vessels.
I am looking to help these people, for their daily needs.
I am amazed to see the ray of destruction.

This is a brilliant technique for disposal of waste. I wonder if it's expanded in size, would the size of the suns increase from 5,000 to beyond?

@Alyqz The camera was set to a spot focus. It was adjusting to the brightness of the target, otherwise it would just show a big white blob.

Nifty solar cooker. All you need now is a stand to put a pot on to boil water.
