They have always had a place in my heart, and i had the good fortune to meet them a few years later on the True Colours tour. Tim and Noel were really cool, and chatted to us for a good while, keeping us topped up with an ale or two from the hotel bar in Liverpool. Always always produce the sonic goods!! BRILLIANT!!
Brill....I remember watching this....Enz were still underground...sort of...a big well kept secret...loved it then..love it still. A truly original band with great hooks!!!
during Tim's last "my mistake" repeats, you can't even hear the "oooooo whoops!", just see they're mouths move. only vocals you can hear are Tim's. great video, but whoever set up the mics at that show messed up.
wow, have remembered this concert for thirty two years - my wife (to be) and myself watched this together and thought it so 'alive' ...... have the album.... tho seems so too eccentric now.
Yeah definately true ......... first band I ever saw live .......... + first time i ever got stoned .......... quite a headful! Like crowded house but seemed like the enz potential was never fulfilled.
Tim Finn missed his calling as an actor . . .

If I had any sort of musical talent and I could perform just 10 songs perfectly, I'd want this to be one of them!

They were really big in Australia where they recorded many of their classic songs.

The early Split Enz (pre-I Got You) is such an incredibly original and likable band. Tim Finn is a genius. Thanks for posting this :)

Split Enz - Most underrated band of all time, bar none. Their early stuff is especially underrated.

the original enz totally rocked
then they became, to my thoughts,
a routine dreamy rock band outfit

I love all Split Enz's music but there is something about the early days that just takes me into another world. A very unique world!
