As co-producer and Engineer of the recording, I tried to capture the spirit of this band. I try to get as much down on tape in the first take as possible. I really believe the more you overdubb, the more the recording loses its..... honesty.  I also tried to make the album sound as raw as I could. One thing I cant stand is a death metal band that sounds over over procesed.

This album was done before Pro Tools so there was no copy cut and pasting or digital easy fixes. Analog purity. Dana was just oozing fcking energy. Her guitar playing was AMAZING and the riffs she wrote cut through me like a battle axe !! ` Take nothing from John, he is a great bass player and musician. If it sounds like I am sucking up to Dana then to fcking bad she deserves it !! Truely a legend. And what a fcking voice !!

Dana use to be in an all female death/doom metal group called Mythic -- which also had Mary Bielich on bass (ex -November's Doom/ Em Sinfonia). I think they have a myspace page still.
