also i was sharing an idea with some of the other researchers on here and thought i would pass it along to you too. maybe you could get some of those screw in steps hunters use to climb trees. you could get up higher and look over the brush and see farther. you could also tree knock while up there. i dont think you would have to get very high to have alot better view. maybe you already thought of it but just an idea that might help.
it would be nice to have a square backed canoe so you could put an electric trolling motor on it. then you could go along fairly quiet and you can get the kind you can operate with one hand or the foot controlled kind. the foot control is nice because you have both hands free but either one would free up a hand for filming. you would just need a trolling motor and a battery for it. you could take a paddle just in case the battery ran down but good ones will last a long time.
Hey Tim, really good idea to go in deep by water. Maybe a wooden canoe would be better because any noise you make would sound more organic instead of man made. Just a thought.

A canoe is tricky, even for someone like me who grew up with boats. Glad the camera didn't get wet!!

Tim, I bet you could build a stealth kooler cam. Using your old camera. It might bring you great oppurtunities in that camoe or camping.
