I really tried to like the US version. But compared to the UK version, it's so watered down, material wise with overplayed acting. The adjustments that it made for a US audience took a lot of the honesty and grittiness away from what the UK version has. I find it unfortunate that that happened. The UK Skins is one of the most beautiful, brutal, character studies I've ever seen and the US version comes off as "parent approved" in comparison.
