Most compact cars are slow (The Mini would outrun your truck...) and boring, they can't bring materials and of course you can't go offroad with them! Not anyone (almost nobody) needs a truck! I live in Norway, one of those countries with no flat areas, bad roads, etc, and still people drive mostly station wagons, crossovers and compacts... you need to go to rular areas to find a Suburban or other full size SUV's or pickups.

The floor is SMOOTH and permit to the car to slide (especially in side crash) and dissipate more energy then if it was asphalt as it is in the streets.

They use a smooth floor to give you an idea of higher idea of safety on the one you would have on streets.

My poor little mini cooper got side smashed by an artic lorry in real life :( poor baby. Didnt stand a chance. The safety mechanism in this car is really good, saved my life. There's roll bars built into the car too i think, and metal bars in the doors. Big thank you to BMW. I might not be here today, if it wasn't for all them tests, airbags and security cages. Ever heard of the MINI Pick-UP? I think BMW did a good job bring the long outdated MINI to the modern life. The fact that head was wobbling around that much is that the dummy is not actually very realistic in this case. In a real crash, in the state of shock your muscles get all tensed up and you wouldnt fly around like that in a side crash.
