It depends on the TV. On my samsung, in the settings, there's an option called "HDMI Black level". You can set the HDMI black level to normal or low. Setting it to low enables RGB full range on the tv already, so you don't need to set it on the ps3 to full. If u enable rgb to full range on both, you'll actually lose detail. Dark areas in the game that were meant to be seen will appear black. So in short, set rgb full range either on your tv or your ps3, but not both.
Theres a reason why you can switch between limited and full...
Some tv's do support the full colorrange.. some not. Some games use it, some not (I think) My tv suports it but full rbg makes it darker only, can still see black and white scales properly in any mode with blacklevel/britness and contrast settings calibrated properly.
no matter how many PS3 fans and Xbox fans have their debate.. as a ps3 owner i can say that nothing beats the graphics on the PC! i got a PS3 for the exclusives..

Changing the settings on your ps3 doesn't work if you have a standard definition TV like me. I owned this game on 360, but sold my 360 to get a ps3, and I can DEFINITELY tell a difference unfortunately. Anytime you are in a dark area with lots of shadows, the game looks VERY washed out. Not to mention the framerate on the PS3 version is extremely choppy, and the game sometimes lags. I'm not bashing the ps3, I just wish a little more effort was put into this version by Ubisoft.

basically they difference in graphics between any two of the consoles xbox360/ps3 isn't enough to make a difference. Xbox-Live tends to be better but PSN is free. XBOX has more reported issues but is cheaper. So basically pick one and play it.

Xbox 360 is a better gaming console overall, better online play, kinect technology, easier to programme games on and more powerful GPU! @txcyphek I don't care if the Xbox 360 has a better GPU. The Xbox 360 isn't even capable of outputting games in full HD. Gears, Halo, etc., are all in sub-HD resolution and upscaled to HD. To name a few, both Uncharted 1+2 and Killzone run in full native HD, Uncharted at 720p native and Killzone at 1080p native.
Get your facts straight. The PS3's hardware is more powerful than the Xbox 360's. The mere fact that the PS3 can produce full native HD visuals just renders your argument futile.
None of the PS3 exclusives interest you? XBOX 360 has Halo, Gears of War (2 and 3), Fable (Not Fable 3), Forza, and Dead Rising (The first one) (These are all of the good exclusives in my opinion). basically they difference in graphics between any two of the consoles xbox360/ps3 isn't enough to make a difference. Xbox-Live tends to be better but PSN is free. XBOX has more reported issues but is cheaper. So basically pick one and play it.

I own all these consoles and I think that you can't really compare them as they are all unique in their own way. The xbox 360 is the online KING! XBL is the best online service for consoles because of all the work M$ does to keep it safe and functional. One instance in which XBL beats PSN is that it has offered cross game chat since day one while PSN doesnt have anything like this. Because of the fact that PS3 can utilize the disk space of a BR Disk,

People are still viewing this? Look people this video is WRONG. All hes doing is crushing the blacks. Look at the comparision shots. the 'improved' black scenes are a black blur of nothing. All detail is lost. Going RGB FULL and superwhite on is fine if your TV supports it, but it wont look like that. It will look closer to rgb limited setting. The TV used to capture this didn't support rgb full hence the crushed blacks

However, when it comes to PS3 exclusive games, the game developers really focus on good graphics (Uncharted for example), and those games look beautiful. XBox doesn't seem to have these kind of games... So I think that PS3 can have better graphics when exclusive games are made for Ps3. When the games are made for both consoles they look the same I guess

Xbox 360 is a better gaming console overall, better online play, kinect technology, easier to programme games on and more powerful GPU! Lets not forget games like gears of war and forza etc, there's noting I enjoy about the ps3, I can do without having to wait for installation's and bullshit like that

@txcyphek I don't care if the Xbox 360 has a better GPU. The Xbox 360 isn't even capable of outputting games in full HD. Gears, Halo, etc., are all in sub-HD resolution and upscaled to HD. To name a few, both Uncharted 1+2 and Killzone run in full native HD, Uncharted at 720p native and Killzone at 1080p native.
Get your facts straight. The PS3's hardware is more powerful than the Xbox 360's. The mere fact that the PS3 can produce full native HD visuals just renders your argument futile.

None of the PS3 exclusives interest you? XBOX 360 has Halo, Gears of War (2 and 3), Fable (Not Fable 3), Forza, and Dead Rising (The first one) (These are all of the good exclusives in my opinion). PS3 has Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, God of War, Gran Turismo 5, Heavenly Sword, Heavy Rain, inFamous, MAG, Metal Gear Solid, MLB: The Show, SOCOM, and Fat Princess.
