even there demos kick ass haha id love to access to the shit they never wanted to put out on albums goddamn there stuff they dont like would be rock gold to others
Even those trying to defend this album make a poor job of it. If you cannot hear Load for the absolute genius that it is then there must be something wrong with ur ears. Go back to listening to Korn and Shitknot.
The demo of "King Nothing" was called "Load" (hence the title of the album it was featured on) and was recorded in Lars Ulrich's home studio 'Dungeon' by James Hetfield and Ulrich on November 30, 1994.
Yes KillingPiga you are right Load and Reload are great in thier Own way c'mon Bleeding Awesome! theres more but those are the greats of those albums! Everything they do is Gold!
you should look up MourningKnight on myspace i got bored and made a music channall so jion and comment and request songs i love metallica and will play any song request
@killingpiga I dont know if you'll understand what I'm trying to say here but this is my way of looking at them, "load and reload are good albums, they're just bad metallica albums".
Of course, a lot of people may just dislike those albums, the world would be a boring ass place if everybody liked the exact same things.
@Safetysealed your completely right, it was great music, but its not metallica type music, its good but just not what anyone expected to hear from the biggest metal band ever
@FalamsProductions Exactly. If you think about it... if you're an aspiring musician, you can take metallica's progress as a musician as an example...
explore your musical capabilities... don't do the 'motorhead'... which is just be known for doing one type of thing... your 'ace of spades' style music for YEARS AND YEARS.
I honestly like all of metallica's albums. They're not just metalhead guys that stick to the same platform. They're exploring their stuff. That's akways respectable!
@killingpiga It's because alot of people like to compare Load and Reload to their old stuff and automatically say it's shit rather than listening to it with an open mind. They are class albums.
@killingpiga You know, its funny to think that probably more than 80% of the people who say Load/ReLoad suck probably actually haven't even listened to the album, just dissing it because other people say it sucks online. Sure they changed style, but its still metal(and at least its better than St. Anger! Haha). King Nothing, Fuel, Wasting My Hate, they're all okay songs. Compared to their thrashier stuff, it might suck, but it holds itself up if you give it a chance and listen to it.
I wish they would have kept Kirks note intro bender fading at the end of the song. I remember listening to King Nothing intro for the 1st time..it scared the shit out of me.
It's a fucking demo! They're not supposed to be released to the public. They're not supposed to nice, neat, and clean cut either. That's the whole point of a demo: get all your shit together and record it so that when you do go into the real studio you know what you're doing. That being said, I believe almost all of Metallica's demos were recorded in Lars' garage.
The 4th single from the album. The original demo for the song was titled "Load", which the name of the album came from. The structure of the song is very similar to that of "Enter Sandman" and even has the line "We're Off To Never Never Land" inserted at the very end of the song. It has been said that this song was slightly inspired by Lars Ulrich's achievement of fame.
If this was the debut album for a new band, people would shit themselves happy
