Actually I have more Boeing videos than Airbus surprisingly (by about 2-3 I think). I've tried to get an even balance for those who like each manufacturer.
that is one giant kiwi :) you should capture as many of NZ's 744's as you can since they'll be phased out soon and will be replaced with 77W's. fingers crossed the 777's will sport a new livery!
A new livery is in fact on the cards. Not sure when it will be introduced but there have been several reports. Including beds in economy, where a passenger can use three seats as a bed if there is sufficient room on the aircraft.
Its a possibility, Rob said it would be a nice addition. However, under financial circumstances and things I imagine it will be put on hold at least until the introduction of 789 since cost of overhauling entire fleet is large. All promo stuff for new aircraft, as it stands are using current livery. Just a matter of refining it for now and looking at other cost effective options like you mentioned possibility of purchasing extra seats for a bit more on long haul lower pax capacity flights.
Hey bro..this is our Air Line...it's amazing how far it travels too ae..and at the end of the journey comes bk to our land.NEW ZEALAND.The design on its tail is called KORU and it's a very artistic and customary maori sign. Love this video mate..good stuff!
The 747-800 should hopefully do well. Lufthansa have 20 on order and Korean Air have just ordered 5 so its looking more likely that Boeing will proceed with the program after some doubt emerged recently.
You can follow Boeing 787 and 747-8F/8I progress at Paine Field, Everett. The 747-8F is expected to fly in January 2010 and the 787 is now expected to fly around the 18th December 2009.
Very very nice. Love the Air New Zealand livery. I've been looking forward to this video for days. Much nicer livery than Qantas' which is rather bland in my view.
Not sure about the Qantas livery being bland, but I agree with you that the ANZ livery is very beautiful. I've heard though that ANZ are planning to change the livery soon as part of their renewal program. I hope they don't deviate too much from their current livery like Qantas have done with their new livery.
I hope so too. They should maybe continue the teal colour over the fuselage like the Qantas red to make he plane stand out even more. They should also make the Air New Zealand lettering stand out more.
Surely Air New Zealand would be an ideal candidate for the Airbus A380. They fly very long haul routes in a similar way to Qantas. Obviously New Zealand is a smaller country than Australia, but I'm sure Air New Zealand could make the A380 work for them. Even if they had just one or two.
Air New Zealand are going to be the launch customer for the Airbus A320/Sharklets aircraft when they enter service in 2012. They are also the launch customer for the Boeing 787-9.
There is a possibility that they will order the A350XWB from Airbus as they are reportedly very happy with this aircraft as are Qantas, but it hangs on whether or not Boeing will launch the 787-10 or not.
The 787-10 is less likely to become reality though as it will compete with their own 777.
Yeah I heard about the A320 with Sharklets order. They're replacing their older 737's with it because they are more fuel efficient than the 737-800. Its also a nicer plane inside too.
It's a shame if they have ruled it out. The thing is though, I'm sure Qantas fly their A380 via Auckland on some routes and Emirates have their A380 flying into Auckland too, so if Air New Zealand is going to want to compete with these airlines they'll probably have to introduce the A380 into their own fleet too at some point in time.
Poetry in motion. Beautiful.

This is (theoldsmuggler1) from Boston, and I'd just like to say it's nice to see you throw a few Boeings in the mix of your beloved Airbus.
Seriously, I love aircrafts, and get just as excited when an A340 lands here.

Lovely video and beautiful plane. I am particularly fond of the 747-400. Very sad day when the 747 finally disappears. the livery looks lovely.

I wish Air New Zealand would buy some A380's. Would look so nice :D

I agree with you there. Sadly its highly unlikely (at the moment at least). It would look very special though.
