  • great job. did you paint the textures&bumps in zBrush as I do ?

  • New Skin of ryze?

  • thats freakin amazing for 3k triangles

  • @AleX3DI i have characters that i made in google sketchup. Can i transfer them into blender? If i can how?

  • I want to see that thing in action!!!! O_o

  • BAD ASS, wish i could make something like that in blender

  • most people are slow wen it comes to blender the secret is texturing and using a bunch of simple shapes in random patterns to make a model look realistic

  • Today i made a ring!

Im so fucking stupid with blender

  • very good

  • what kind of program do you use for that and also where should i start learning

  • Reminds me of Borderlands.

  • wow thats badass

  • that would make a great boss

  • this is what keeps us doubters hopeful in what Blender can do. It's not the software that's ltd, but our minds and skills. Wow.

  • is he rigged?

  • the thumbnail looked like obama to me.

  • the cell shading effect in the last half looked really cool. Great work!

  • on the thumbnail it looked like TRON Akuma xDD

  • nice model couldyou help me make one plz?

  • Am I overreacting when I say "Holy Shit" ?

  • @sporeman317 nope not at all. overeacting would be saying Holy Mary Mother Of God THat Is Fuckin Amazing!

  • Want Tutorial.

    Everytime I look at this.

  • That would be an epic character for a MMORPG.

  • *sorry, it's Togusa86 (without "n")... also try the ones by "blenderdocs" and "GabrielSolon1"... there are tons of great tutorials out there.

  • Haw-haw! He's wearing a skirt :) But seriously... great work! I'm impressed!

  • Beautiful work, I particularly like the sense of dimensionality.

  • this could easly be a Allods Online model

  • awesome!! square enix material bro!!

  • hooooo nice can you teach me?

  • Very cool character, man....love it! :)

  • how to make characters like this im new to blender and i cant find anny good tutorials at youtube

  • @windfuker If you want to start from scratch try the tutorials by Tongusa86 or for an easier start define the basic body-shape in Makehuman (open source like Blender), export as .obj and change it in Blender or even use the Retopo-tool inside Blender to create an individual mesh on top of the Makehuman-export.

  • @windfuker ...or the ones by GabrielSolon1 (also here on YT), which are even more detailed. And if you don't like their approach just use the links on the right or search for similar titles... you'll find a ton of great (but also some crappy) tutorials.

  • Damn, that is an impressive amount of detail for such a low poly-count.

  • nyu poly!!!!!! idk i just had to throw that in

  • yea its really low low poly O:

  • looks great!

  • I can make a cube....

  • @korken4 you mean its already pre-made when you open blender up?

  • @Kvokki But i learned how to open it =)

  • @korken4 :)

  • @korken4 I cant even do that

  • nice...

  • Game engines are a pain in the ass.

I've tried others like Unity, DirectX Studio, GameStudio... the list goes on. The bottom line is that programming your own engine is the best way to go.

If the engine is very fast and flexible, chances are you'll have to suffer from no documentation.

Writing your own version of something that "acts" as an engine is way less gay than writing something gay like an engine, or using engines that bring not enough help.

    Write games raw.

    -Anti-Engine Team.

  • @GameEnginesAreGay Coding an engine on your own is a LOT of work. I'm not sure you understand just HOW much work. Or how much work goes into making a complex game, for that matter. Even most major studios use engines like Unreal (or their own proprietary engine) these days.

In fact, I would go so far as to say if you can't code a game in an existing engine (so long as that engine is capable and flexible), you're probably not *ready* to create your own engine yet.

  • epic sauce

  • looks like a champ in league of legends

  • how did you do the thingys in the hands lol

  • how you do that? have any tutorial? I don't know how to use the game engine of blender to do that, it looks like marmoset toolbag.

  • Looks like a League of Legends character to me. Good job!

  • yes 8-15k for main character is ok

  • what about animate ?

  • really good model almost looks like borderlands character model keep up the good work

  • Amazing work with very controlled use of available resources. A true inspiration to someone starting out since you didn't use all the super advanced stuff to pull off such a good looking character. It proves that this is all within reach, it just requires practice and a great deal of learning to achieve. Thanks for sharing.

  • You must have a very powerful GPU to rotate and zoom like that.

    What's your's?

  • not bad.. not bad.. very good actually:P

    better then my modeling:P

  • Shit, a few more tweaks and more "fattyness" (if you know what i mean) and this could easily be used as a WoW raid boss, or atleast a dungeon boss. Props dude

  • you should grace us with a tutorial.

  • man you are professional ???

    please answer me !!!

  • This is amazing work, for a low poly... hard to actually see it's low poly...

I love how it's made, even the expression... Though i'm sure he just need a bit of "looovee" and he'll smile wide ^_~

Tell and show this to my mom, and she be like: "In English, please"

  • it is one of best characters i have seen in a logn time, and its lowpoly? AWESOME!

  • Why do we not get to see the backside? :S

  • whys he got boob suckers???

  • @qazwsx2541 a self-boob-sucker from his birth..

  • great character man!

  • at 3k triangles you could probably afford to do some more tessellation on the tubes and get rid of the flat looking bits and make the curve more smooth

  • Nice!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Looks good

  • Damnnnn that character is beautiful! GREAT WORK. It reminds me of borderlands a bit xp

  • DUDE THAT IS FUCKING SWEET! Right so i'm sure you get asked alot for advice but, Did you start with a mesh or start from verticles and a background picture? I'm just starting to learn how to keep the mesh simple....Are triangles better to use than squares??

  • This is what you get when professionals use blender.

  • I use more than 7000 face and get a ugly model...

  • 3000 face... Incredible !!

  • Only 3.000 ????

I say good looking graphics lead nowhere if the game's animations and effects are not good nigga that's my opinion.

    but his work is incredible!

  • really cool! Congratulations

  • looks like something from the ps2 ara, nice

  • amazing work. like the texturing

  • Just amazing.

  • wow.........amazing work!

  • Awesome, really awesome. :]

    Need that D.o.F. ...

  • Looks really cool dude, the character looks impressive. Got any tutorials or tips how to setup Blender's game engine for cool beauty shots like yours? I'd like to show my models like that aswell.

  • All you who think 3,000 triangles is NOT low poly are.... INCORRECT! :) main characters in games these days are 10-15K triangles, and very high res textures..

  • @GameDesignGuru I... i did not know that.... thanks!

  • @GameDesignGuru

Hell sure, actually 3K Polies is way "too" low-poly. ^^

    Wonderful char by the way.

  • @GameDesignGuru Damn well done model for 3k poly's.

  • @nonchalantgamer hell yes

  • @GameDesignGuru

yeah, its all normal mapping theses days.

  • @GameDesignGuru Yea, its actually pretty difficult to come up with a good model with so few triangles. This models a great example! Looks awesome!

  • wow gj

  • Beautiful

  • You call this low poly?

  • @superkellerman8D by today's standards it's quite low poly.

  • @d123s404 well, that's true.

  • @superkellerman8D i call your brain low poly.

  • @XxArkhamxAsylumxX how do you rotate the models?

  • @XxArkhamxAsylumxX If ploy stands for polygon then you have done a great job :D

  • this is low poly?!?! what will happen on high poly?!?!

  • This looks really cool! Was that done with Blender?

  • could you please put up tutorials

  • fantastic! totally inspired me to look into this aspect of the blender game engine :)

  • As torq21 ask, can you enlighten us on the 2d filter effects? Notement effect on the Toon, who seems really good!

Your character is sympathetic, but more polygons to the pipes luminescent blue would be more homogeneous visually.

  • Very nice work! I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a thread that discusses the 2d filter effects? Thanks.

  • great

  • Also make some tutorials! Great work!

  • please make at least a "making of"...

  • holy shittttt this is amazing, hope i could achive characters this pro looking men!

    Congratulations men, really great.

  • wow!

  • Uhaaal!

    Very good man...

  • Brilliant character. I'd like to post this on BlenderNation just so more people can see it. Do you have a website or a WIP thread on a forum that I could point people to?

  • This is something I would like to make :D

  • good stuff!

  • WOW!

  • Wow! This is awesome! :)

  • Freaking sweet

  • Wow, man that's beautiful! Keep up the good work as usual!
