my best friend in the world, Kaleb, and i were watching a video that had "i'm so sick" playing in the background.it got stuck in my head, and a week later i went looking for that song and i found out about flyleaf. Ever since then, Flyleaf has been my go to band. Not because of religion or anything, but because i love their music. It's saved my life. it's described every situation i've ever been in or go through. I just wanna say thanks to Kaleb because he helps me even when he doesn't know it.

@droidmanr2d2 Sometimes people need help. Apparently Lacey was at the point of no return. If she had not gone to church, there is a good chance she would not be here today. Yes, strength is within us, but as humans we only have so much strength and Lacey's life involved fight after fight, and I think she was tired..too tired to fight anymore. That is where God comes in. he fights the fight when you cannot do so yourself anymore.

I know first hand what its like to want to kill yourself to plan to do it and to have God stop you I started cutting myself in fourth grade to deal with the emotional thrashings that I endured day after day and one night while I was cutting myself I realized that if I could harm myself I could kill myself too So I made plans and it was all set ready to happen But just before I was about to somthing told me to stop Looking back now had I ended it then I would have missed so much. thank you Jesus.

I know how all this feels. My family and myself has went through so much. I never did drugs, but I was around someone who did them. It terrified me.I watched my parents argue and they'd pull me into it. I just remember wanting it to stop... I went through a point where everyone turned against me, eveyrone I thought I could trust. I went through depression at 13. I am now 14. There's so much more to it. I thought about suicide. But things are better now, and I have the love of God and Jesus. ♥

I guess I can kinda relate. My dad is a preacher and my mom is very relgious. But ive never been that religious. I thought I knew God. But I started doing drugs and was fighting with bulimia and i used to cut and I never really cared. But once day I was like "I'm going to kill myself I keep on" and I asked the lord if he can help me stop and just take away all these insecurities I will stop. That was about 2 months ago but today I still love the lord with all my heart soul and mind.

Then I started going to this church, and a woman, I'd never met her, but she prayed for me and she said "The Lord is saying that He's not angry with you. He hasn't left you. He was there. He saw your tears. He is your father. Not like an earthly father. He will be a father to you like you've never had.".................. God wants a deep and intimate relationship with you. I needed to hear this... My father passed away from cancer this year... I'm moving to another state.. and over Thanksgiving holiday... I found out my Aunt has cancer too. It all hurts so much... I've wanted so much for it to stop. I've asked God to take it away to fix the broken shattered pieces... in me. But it hasn't happened yet. I love God so much and I know life is precious... but when is the pain supposed to stop.
I also lost my Pop to cancer. I'm so, sorry you have to carry this hurt. It doesn't go away but, God will soften it over time. I'm glad it still hurts when I think of my Pop. If it didn't, I would feel like I've lost him forever.

@droidmanr2d2 Sometimes people need help. Apparently Lacey was at the point of no return. If she had not gone to church, there is a good chance she would not be here today. Yes, strength is within us, but as humans we only have so much strength and Lacey's life involved fight after fight, and I think she was tired..too tired to fight anymore. That is where God comes in. he fights the fight when you cannot do so yourself anymore.

I've never truly been happy with my life or myself, and I had decided to kill myself the next time something bad in my home happened, and right before I was about to.... I heard Flyleaf from a friend.. and knowing that Lacey did all this, made me know that I can last through anything.. And I'm still alive because of her.. and now I make music... Before seeing this video i didnt believe in God....but knowing that I went through the same pain as she did led me to believeing there truling is a God and He will do everything in his power to love you and to take care of you. Everytime when I listen to this interview, I cry when she says 'So I decided to kill myself the next day', cause I feel her pain when she says that. I truly love her, and I love God and I'm so glad that she didn't killed herself. Because when Flyleaf wasn't here, I was still an athiest.

I know how all this feels. My family and myself has went through so much. I never did drugs, but I was around someone who did them. It terrified me.I watched my parents argue and they'd pull me into it. I just remember wanting it to stop... I went through a point where everyone turned against me, eveyrone I thought I could trust. I went through depression at 13. I am now 14. There's so much more to it. I thought about suicide. But things are better now, and I have the love of God and Jesus. ♥

I guess I can kinda relate. My dad is a preacher and my mom is very relgious. But ive never been that religious. I thought I knew God. But I started doing drugs and was fighting with bulimia and i used to cut and I never really cared. But once day I was like "I'm going to kill myself I keep on" and I asked the lord if he can help me stop and just take away all these insecurities I will stop. That was about 2 months ago but today I still love the lord with all my heart soul and mind.

Then I started going to this church, and a woman, I'd never met her, but she prayed for me and she said "The Lord is saying that He's not angry with you. He hasn't left you. He was there. He saw your tears. He is your father. Not like an earthly father. He will be a father to you like you've never had.".................. God wants a deep and intimate relationship with you. I've found that it's a process and it doesn't happen overnight. It seemed like 5 years went by before God even started healing me. But the truth is that God's ALWAYS working on us, even when we don't know it. Now I'm going through healing step by step. Sometimes I wanna be completely healed RIGHT NOW. But I've come to realize that it will take time, but that in the end, God will turn ashes to beauty.

i was just going through songs and found this and it's floored me...i've never done drugs but i can relate 2 the pain she talks about over a parental figure but mine was an abusive drunk...i always hated him and wondered y god put me through so much pain and now i know its because now i can help others who go through that because i know how it feels..its all preparation for things i can accomplish now ...my point short sweet is that God is the man and it took me seeing this 2 get it

I needed to hear this... My father passed away from cancer this year... I'm moving to another state.. and over Thanksgiving holiday... I found out my Aunt has cancer too. It all hurts so much... I've wanted so much for it to stop. I've asked God to take it away to fix the broken shattered pieces... in me. But it hasn't happened yet. I love God so much and I know life is precious... but when is the pain supposed to stop.

I also lost my Pop to cancer. I'm so, sorry you have to carry this hurt. It doesn't go away but, God will soften it over time. I'm glad it still hurts when I think of my Pop. If it didn't, I would feel like I've lost him forever.
Every day I just try and focus on all the things that God provides. Things I don't deserve because of the sin (past and present) in my life. I am always humbled by his mercy and grace.

Faith is a luxury that not all of us are blessed with, it's like knowing what love is...u can't see it or touch it but you can feel it with every part of ur inner being and it makes you feel so alive.I'm not saying that atheists should not be allowed to try to make an appeal of their reasoning for their belief the nonexistence of God but I do not think u will have much effect on someone who feels the way I do.

Wow, I would like to make a clarification. 1) Stop being rude and ignorant. 2) I am a Jesus freak and a) It was not shoved down my throat and b) I was never on drugs or near death. I am a Christian and proud of it.
So, with that in mind, why are you calling Jesus "an imaginary friend" or Lacey "pathetic?" She hit rock bottom, she found God, which wasn't forced down her throat, and came back stronger, happier, and better off.

@FabFrk276 Did you know that religion was created to keep the poor from killing the rich? It gave them hope of something after their terrible lives, it kept them enslaved to tyranny. The more slick you talk as a follower just makes you look more and more brainwashed, which you are. What if muslims are right, or jews, or what if Zeus is the real god? My approach is the most logical, we do not know what comes after death, be a good person for humankind's sake, not god's, and live a happy life.
