  • Grandissimo, pensavo di essere l'unico in Italia a conoscerli. I due versi mancanti sono (o dovrebbero essere): "i'm just getting into gear" e "let me push my own swing". E manca un "don't" all'inizio della seconda strofa. La prima versione che ho sentito di questa canzone è quella degli Hearts and Flowers, ed ha qualche piccola variazione nel testo (là al posto di "swing" c'è un'altra parola, difficile da decifrare).

  • Thanks !

    peace,

    Martin

  • Does anybody know where I can find the lyrics for this song ?

  • @timepaper

I placed the lyrics in the description

  • one of the most eclectic bands ever. they play psychedelic rock, blues, country, turkish music all mixed toghether with great touch and inspiration. one of my favorite band ever!

  • This is simply fantastic.

  • Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll

  • Saw them in July 1967 at Devonshire Downs in Northridge CA. That day the Doors and Country Joe and the Fish were playing there too, but I liked Kaleidoscope better.

  • @GregoryWonderwheel I was there too, a couple of months before my 18th birthday, very impressed with them. They were doing what many years later would come to be known as "world music". I dropped some very good stuff that day and parked myself in some eucalyptus trees behind the stage before I came on too heavy. I do remember having an out of body experience. One second I was looking at the back of Jim Morrison's head, the next I was watching the rest of the Doors set from out front.

  • @Bethaneyc I was there under "some eucalyptus trees behind the stage...looking at the back of Jim Morrison's head" that day too. It's a small universe! All of the music that day was great, including these guys. A side note... The Iron Butterfly were supposed to perform the same day but a couple of the guys couldn't make it so we missed out on another great band. This was still a few months before the release of the Butterfly's first album.

  • Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

    love this song.

  • so nice being so simple but true and full of emotions

  • These guys are not an SF band; they are from SoCal

  • Great stuff...the cover by Eclection is terrific too.

  • hey guys :)

i uploaded the whole Side Trips album if your looking for it xD

    peace :)

  • This is probally my favorite song on "Side Trips" (and I own a copy of the Sundazed vinyl reissue you see here). The lyrics ring too, too true for me and another person that is a part of my life. I feel like I could've written them myself! "Pulsating Dreams" and "Why Try" are two of my other faves on this album.

  • Took a while to find this song. Still holds the magic.

  • Yep, this song is so cool. Bob Seal of Clear Light used to sing along with so much reverence. I think about him a lot.

  • My favourite San Francisco' band.David Lindley is a genius.

  • great stuff

  • Absolutely the best Unknown of 1967. Saw this band open for the Doors at the Avalon Ballroom with two belly dancers and a "call-out" the night before on Underground Radio for a double neck guitar for their show. Thax.

  • hummingharder:

Wow! I caught the Boston music scene

    ..circa 1967 -

Wasn't Jackson Brown in on this group also?

Or is my 64 yr old Forgettory working?

    Thanx for input.
