@wyatt8s Of course moron. And why in the world are you asking random YouTube people and not your chain of command or a recruiter ir you're not in yet??? Typical dumb squid!!
I don't believe that if you have laser eye surgery they will disqualify you. I know that if you opted for the PRK then there are virtually no limitations to what you can do in the Military. They tend to disfavor the LASIK because of the potential of the "Flap" being dislocated. You would have to ask a recruiter. As far as discomfort..I have none. Everything is like I am viewing it in HD. Way better than when I had contacts.
Nice 20/15 I was wondering if the army would accept me if I had a PRK done before joining. I heard if you done it before hand and I was to enlist I would get disqualified. Also did you feel any after affects now a days
I feel and see awesome. Just had my one month post op appointment and the doc said I am seeing 20/15 in both eyes. Just a little dryness when I wake up. Once I put in eyedrops I am usually good for the whole day. The surgery is not painful at all. The post op healing is. It will vary from person to person. Mine was bad but once I took the Percocet they gave me, I was good. Just sleep and relax for a day or two!
Do you think the navy would also cover the cost of PRK surgery ? can anyone tell me?

Heyy! I was just wondering how you're feeling now? I have an appointment to do PRK on April 30th and I am very nervous. What would you recomment?
