I'm in a handbell group that tours all over the country every summer. One of my most memorable experiences was Last year we went to Virginia Beach. During our last performance, an elderly woman Burst out in the middle of "Brethren We Have Come" into this song. Another woman on her right hit her in the arm and said "Shut up, Moreen!" Soon afterwords, when we had gotten back to the hotel, we looked up the song and ended up here. Good Times.
Ahh, I love this song so much, I was over at an old couples house the other night and they let me go through their 78's to pick songs and they played this one twice just for me:)

I'm looking over my dead dog Rover whom I hit with a power mower. One leg is missing, the other is gone, the third leg is scattered all over the lawn.
No need explaining the one leg remaining, it's spinning on the carport floor.....

Interesting that a version of this song is played at the end of UCLA victories by the UCLA band. Go Bruins!

This is probably the most common 78rpm record ever made! I found at least 25 copies of this since I began collecting 78s in 2007!

@nancyfloressantos The song itself was written in 1926, so it's older than this recording.
