AoE blade are, unfortunately, simply a close-range slower version of rangers. They may be decent, but if you applied the same amount of money to a AoE blade and a ranger, the ranger would be a better leveler.

Yes I agree :P Though AoE blades are more powerful (more skill dmg/dex), have higher block (highest block/dex in game, and higher HP (2 h.axes and an einy suit at lvl 75, go bloody axes and nox set at 120 and ur invincible), rangers will always have an amazing range that beats all aoe classes.

Ok, gonna post a vid of my YJ as soon as he hits lvl 79, he is lvl 78 with 75% lvling at augus with RM buffs (no heal), gonna try to kill pinkies at 79.

I'd say that I kill much faster than any 1v1 blade my lvl, I hit maximum 4.6k crits (84% crit rate!) and they hit about 3.7k every double hit. That's why I say to you 1v1 blade lovers that blades aren't always the best class to choose. To conclude, all blades are only awesome 90-100+. Just my opinion :P

Rangers are so gimped. Having a block rate per dex equal to psykeepers and elementors(Lowest in the game). All of their blockrate is artificial. Perfect Block, set effects, ect. But I still prefer them because I like bows and fast gathering.

Blades have the highest block per dex, 5-6 dex = 1%, to the second highest block per dex class thats Ranger = 1% per 13-14 Dex :)

Too all people who say aoe blades kill fast...its simply wrong.

1. pretty low dmg, even with pure dex builds.

2. loooong cast time.

But the positive thing in aoe blades is, that they do some nice tanking( high evasion/blockrate)...and very very high hp.

The second highest hp record is done by a blade!

All in all blades dont do that well in aoe because of these facts: Good tanking...BUT, low gathering speed...looong casttimes....low dmg.

1. pretty high damage if you ask me, only magic aoers can get higher damage, but not until they stop adding int. that's what's great about aoe blades, they never stop getting stronger (since most aoers stop adding their dmg stat)

2.I agree that blade dance has extremly long cast time but when u get sonic blade at lvl 70, the cast time is just a bit slower than a knights.

but yes, their gathering speed is really slow unless your in an area like cranes.

Freind has an AOE blade and its amazing he is lvl 89 with moderate equips nothing great and he can aoe the whole Kern Spot with no risk of dieng at all in under 2 mins. 2 mins is hte most he takes if his action slot acts up usually hes around 1 min 15 secs to gather and kill. he says he gets .6 per aoe

yeah your right but I didnt think I'd get rich enough to restat. (well after gianting for a while with my YJ (lv 65) I got 19 mil, so I guess I was wrong (cos at that rate I would surely have around 120 mil if I giant a lot)

I could of took more (in the video) but cranes dont spawn very close together so if I tried going to fetch the captain cranes (with buffs of course) the other cranes would run away (really annoying, wish they would make the run away distance from spawn point much longer)

yea knights are best on aoeing but i like aoe blades better cuzz its more challenging than any other class.

Actually being an aoe blade is more fun and challenging, also its a rare class. not many people chose to be one, becuz they dont know the right build, thinking that it may lvl extremely slow, money eater.

well aoe blades becomes better with the right builds and hard work. a lvl 65 blade can aoe greenmongs/carriers very easily.

i have a Dex blade and its better than pure Str cuz always miss and block the other atack and make a lot of critical hits and deathblows

and in this way i dont need a FS always to lvl up, and pure str NEED a RM always hahaha two crit without RM u get kill THAT way! i prefer Dex

u.u I prefer my Full str blade =s Mine is lvl 68 too... I have: -Rescorn Set+8 stated with +6dex+4str+2sta and awakned with 16dex - 2 dretra swords+8+8water - 2 vigor ring+9 - 2 demol earing+15 - gore+6 I can hit 3.2k (normal damage) and 6.5k (dual) (these hits with buff) =s

I wouldn't say that you 'rock', but yes, Blade AoE actually is pretty good, but underused. Then again, I would prefer my Ranger or Knight over an AoE Blade any day. Those characters are 'made' for AoE in a way. For example, the extreme blockrate of a Ranger and the extremely high health of a Knight.

I'm not saying you suck, are bad or whatever, so read before going /flame.

but just to let you know, (as I try to educate people about aoe blades) rangers have the same block rate as aoe blades (pure dex, which I'm not). Also another good thing about aoe blades is their dual wielding. plus they are much cheaper than 1v1 blades because their 2nd weapon only counts for bonuses.

I've always wanted to see a pure dex aoe blade with nox set and 2 bloody axes =P

Really late reply, but I have checked all over forums and rangers do not get bonus block. They are just the more seen block-AoEr out of the two.

yes, i agree with u.. knight and ranger = great AoE =s (well, Blades can AoE, but no so good like knights and rangers, Blades are very good but for 1x1 with high str or dex)

Hmm that's odd...xx str? that wont help if you're a dedicated aoe blade. str is only for 1v1 while dex is for skill damage and block :P

I'm now lvl 71 and I solo AoE 3-5 Capt. Carriers lvl 74. But with FS, I take all the Capt Carriers in the spawn North of Darken (Darkon town).

In case you didn't know, blade skills only use dex for damage >.> obviously you aren't a blade (no offense intended)

He/she obviously didn't know that skills get a huge damage bonus from DEX. And 'high dex sux'? No sorry. Pure DEX Blades can reach an equal damage output as Pure STR Blades. No build sucks, but one is effective at one thing, and the other is effective at another thing.
