  • Its stock

  • how did you get that sound ??

  • I used to be a petrol head, but have switched to diesels in recent years. The torque and acceleration you can get at 2000 rpm in 4th is just awesome. I have a slightly modified Saab 93 1.9TiD running 212HP. . And 35mpg.. I couldn't go back to Petrol.

  • Song like in mustang :)

  • Sounds quite good!

  • ich liebe volvo auto welt weit beste auto volvo

  • That's quick!! Not to mention in a diesel!!

  • Yo dude diesel engunes are usually faster than gasoline engines! Just so u know!!

    :D

  • Thats just not true.

  • Check their NM. Diesels don't need big engines and alot of hp.

  • Nm or torque is not everything. its the lenght of the intervall the engine can deliver the full Nm!

  • well the Volvo D5 engine delivers full torque (400NM) from 1200rpm and up 5100rpm, and the rev limiter is at just under 6000rpm

  • You don't have any mechanical knowledge whatsoever do you? Petrol cars can generate well over 100Bhp without a turbo. Diesel needs a forced induction to access 100Bhp! Its because Petrolium ignites more aggressively, it burns nearly twice as fast as Diesel. Diesel relys on a turbo to match that combustion rate. Some Turbo diesels may well be faster with more torque nowadays than "gasoline" engines but forced induction petrol engines will always be faster im afraid. I am a T/Diesel owner BTW

  • They dont feel faster though....

My friends golf 1.8T GTI is quicker than my Volvo S40 2.0D but it sure as hell feels weak in performance compared my diesel.

Diesel are boring to drive though.... Unless you have the 5ltr V10 TDI in a VW... that is just sensational power.

  • They will feel weaker because the torque is still considerably less than a T/Diesel even with a turbo-charger plus its gear shifts are also fewer too. A 1.8 20vT 5spd 150 will take 2 shifts to 60 whereas a TDi 6spd 150 will take 3 shifts. Diesel equivalents do feel more aggressive because of their stronger in-gear haulage but 1s-2s is wasted on an extra shift through its shorter rev range. I wouldn't say TDis are boring to drive especially with a 200hp remap!

  • Turbo diesels are a hell of a lot more fun to drive than petrol cars especially if they are old with high milage. My sisters old Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDi ROCKS!! compared to the 1.4 Ibiza chill. Its just as quick as the 1.4 & the top speed is the same at 100-110 Mph. Only my sisters TDi sounds like a loud van but goes very well & chugs out loads of awesome filthy black smoke when you pull away hard with your foot down. Can't do that in the boring old 1.4.

  • And why all sports cars are petrol engines???BMW M5 Audi S8 and the other super cars Lamborghini Ferrari why these are not diesel???

  • @91StefaNs60 'cous diesel doesn't combust as wel as petrol. It is only because of great compression and injections that diesels these days can keep up with petrol.

  • @B00h44

can keep up but the petrol engines remain the best performance despite the little high fuel consumption.....the diesels whatever u say they only have torque....and nothing more they deliver the torque and the sensation that is fast than a petrol....

  • Nice! Which Volvo is this? New S80/V70?

  • nice... volvo for life!!!
