This was an early remix done by Noel G. "King Sporty" Williams (who co wrote the song with Bob and was only ever released on a white 7" test pressing (hence the poor quality - i have mint one here and it sounds just as bad) and i believe it was given away with a selected release of the album "Legend" and as someone else has posted here "3 little birds".. Great vibe and always brings a smile to my face :)

This is better than the remix version that was on the earlier version of the Legend compilation (and also on the Deluxe Edition of Legend), but, hands down, the best version is the thoughtful, rootsy one done with The Wailers, which is on the Confrontation album.

Hi all Marleysong I-Trekkers. Is it possible to (maybe for a professional producer or engineer) to improve the sound and takeaway some noise? Such things must be possible noways with all computer tools and things Because this IS the BETTER VERSION of "Buffalo Soldier". Some years ago, there were a "washed" kingsporty version on Napster with very good sound quality. I used to play it in the car on holidays and the whole family loved it. They didn't want to hear the slow confrontation version.
