the opposing force pushes the triangle back n forth. it will fall off if it's in mid air cuz air resistance is getting stronger but in this is case bottom is magnetize to another object, so it just push back n forth. it won't fall...
Quite simple. (not taking away from the coolness of this video, just helping the youtubers). First, set up as he did, I guess. On the Triangle Bit, put one doublebar on the ball, and the other with the SAME POLARITY on the ball. This means that the second rod will repel the first rod, but the attraction to the metal ball will be enough to keep it there. Next, the 5 bit pentagram you have on the left and right must be oriented properly. Take each of the five pieces on each side (ten total)
and "test" each one of them. What you want is the bar to repel the ball on the top of the triangle. Once you figure what side that is, attach that side to the ball. Do that with all ten. This is all just me thinking for a few seconds so it may be wrong, but it's the best I can think of. I wanna say thanks for reading at the end of this comment for some reason..
This Geomag-thing is sold as a toy, I think it's not too expensive since they're not actually built for scientific use. I guess 15 pounds for a set or so.
I tried making this with Magnetix and Whenevr the steel shperes got too close they would attract and stick to gether, but from a distance they still repelled. I had all the poles line up correctly but i found that connecting two rods to eachother (w/o a shpere) reduced the strength of repulsion.
How do you get yours to work? Or does Magnetix just suck?
Well thank you for your kind compliment, haha. I don't think the exact number of rods and spheres is really necessary because you can build a simple oscillator in virtually any arrangement, size, or shape. You guys should make your own versions and post them, not simply copy mine!
I'd say He used more than 60, I tried it Using the 70 piece filled Tube, and it Wasn't enough, I havn't Tried Magnetix, I got a 85 pc Bonus pack, I'd say its over 70.
gravity is currently used as a power source, hydro electricity technically uses gravity to power...but i dont this can power anything, the magnets just merely contain the energy put into it, eventually wind resistance would stop the movement...put this in a vacuum and watch it go forever
Anyone know where to get geomag sets nowadays? I need more in order to actually make anything cool :/

If you can't make it work: be sure to keep your polarities straight, and it will work just fine

The italian company Geomag has just gone bankrupt. The owner and inventor Edordo Tusaccio has declared he will open a new one ... in China.

so why does he only show it working for about 5 seconds.

There is an electrical circuit that you can build to find out which poles are which. It hooks up to an ordinary VOM.

By the way, if you know of a web site with more "inspiration" like this, please tell me.
