G & L albums always had top-notch opening tracks and this one from "The Last Cowboy" was no exception. Lovely understated playing by Jimmy Jewell (is that a sax or a clarinet?) and Billy Livesey (piano) as well as Benny's always superb bass.
Also a prime example of how their songs are often more complex than you'd suppose at first hearing - this one really is infernally difficult to sing correctly! I for one would never dare to attempt it at a karaoke session.
