Such a freaking classic. This is the series that got me into anime growing up as a teenager. I really, really hope that Mr. Sonada will go back and create an anime for the Original Manga one day. :)

@KillaD15 not all is bad but I understand what you mean, the only anime I like besides this is old school anime, like neon genesis evangelion I like that one, street fighter is my all time anime and game, I like X by clamp, and only a few more, but I'm all old school.

For years I saw this advertised in all the Nintendo magazines (Super Play, NMS,etc) in the mid-90s where Anime was relative a new big deal in the UK. Found a mag from '96 and decided to check this out.

@DeathMeds So just because it's set in America that's a shame? As oppose to the NUMEROUS anime series that are set in Japan or European countries, it's a shame that it's set in America. Considering how few series are actually set there, wouldn't you say it's more of a unique set piece, or is this more personal bias I'm detecting?

This was the first anime I ever watched and rented from Lovefilm and love it. Feels a bit odd watching it again. Well.. first not counting pokemon or digimon. -_- first anime since growing up, hah.

@Vault101Reject I liked this one a lot too, I like neon genesis evangelion good series, and they remade two films working on the third, street fighter 2 the animated movie, X, there's a lot more

@Vault101Reject Read the Gunsmith Cats manga. It's a bit mature, lots of sex (Minnie May was a child prostitute in a Chinese brothel) and nudity (Rally gets stripped sometimes and May's a slut), but the artwork is good and the story is pretty good too. Lots to read as well. And it co-stars Bean Bandit! (he got his own OVA: Riding Bean)
