@glitchnoise I appreciate your honesty. I initially created the video as a test of whether it would be something that would help my online HS students. I posted it to youtube, forgot about it and was later stunned to see how many students it was helping. Unfortunately, I didn't do a thorough proof reading of the video before submitting my work (oops!), and for that I apologize. Great video! Since research at the master and PhD levels are supposed to investigate / to find a truth rather than to prove your opinion, is a thesis statement is appropriate in theses and dissertations at these academic levels?

It seems like only one part of the 2-part null and alternative hypotheses. So if it is appropriate, at what point should you mention it?

@Animehem Glad it was helpful. That's really awful about your high school teacher! Try mentioning it to your school counselor. Also check out the online public schools in your district and area as an option. Some online schools will allow students to take just one class.

I've taught middle school & high school (including online) for about six years before moving out of the classroom into a district level position.I have an MA in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in technology.I've written professional development grad level courses & I've also facilitated online Pd courses. @artbking1 oh I see what you’re saying. I thought you meant if you didn’t want to make time. Sorry! Those timed essay questions want to assess if you can make a sound argument. Your ability to organize your ideas, and support them logically is what is being tested. The planning is still the same with the exception that you are now the source of information :) Hope this helps.

@space922 Well first you have to have 1) read the novel 2) know the definition of existentialism & whether the novel story fits into the definition of existentialism Is this essay about analyzing the writer or the novel? If you're supposed to write an essay on Camus defining what his philosophical beliefs are you may want to read some biographical material. If you are supposed to identify whether the novel is about existentialism, )know definition 2) look for evidence in novel 3) your opinion
