Awesome video! I can't believe that happend to those 6 londoners. I guess the crops were too potent. I still agree with the basis of their project even though they should test it on animals and volunteers and let people know about it so it doesn't damage innocent people. They should be growing the crops in green houses/labs not outside where the plants can cross pollenate.

Since they are experiments, they don't know exactly anything about the results - longterm, or shortterm.

Meaning, it could take a longer time for the bacteria, chemicals, or any genetically-altered DNA to take affect on the natural gene pool of Humans and the rest of the animal kingdom.

I was implying that it could be too late for anything to be done about some of those problems. Realeasing those plants into the wild, fucking up the gene pool of pretty much all the plant species in the area, they can't assure of any benefits or disasters, longt-term/short-term. Even the SLIGHTEST change in the gene-codes could(indirectly/directly) send the ecosystem to a disaster. It's stupid to have open-air experiments - of all fields of study.

Cross species contamination is incredibly rare, and has only been reported with some controversy in some pest and weed species in direct contact to the GM species. Again, you are talking crazy talk. I am quite an environmentalist too, but that doesn't mean these people can't be wrong.

You know, I was starting to think these guys know what they were talking about. Then I got to the shirtless worried about Bt corn pollen blowing next to the school. Bt corn is about 75% of America's corn now. There hasn't been ANY indication or link with ANY problems in humans with ANY strain on the market. Maybe if you guys got that part right, I'd be able to listen to the concerns with coffee without a bias against you guys.

...As they said, if even GMO cells get realeased in the wild environment, it could have ir-reversable chatostrophic affects against even the natural versions of the plant species we eat, as well as the rest of the eco-system -- and the problems would snowball from there. Didn't you read about the small story at the end talking about the 6 Brits getting sick from the tests?

I'd point to wikipedia, but it's lacking in these subjects right now. If you look back, my original comment was my disappoint that they simply were rational or fair on their subject matter.
