  • the airport is Gan intl, Maldives

the plane is a Mega Global Air 767-300ER flying from hong kong

  • @aaftabj true. same here.

  • what is the probability of both pilots having a heart attack lol?

what if the pilots start fighting each other?

what if both pilots fall asleep durring flight?

  • @faisalshahx. Well you crash! lol

  • the way the captain dances with the throttles on landing is pure experience....

  • Wow, you landed that better than the machines land the planes!

  • they are landing in Brunei? it looks like Brunei's runway but not sure :s

  • @aigleroyalkurde Brunei does not have a runway 09/27

  • @1053857 thanks for the information

  • serious skill there getting the plane onto the gravel. the rate of descent surprised me and he managed to hold it nice and smooth!

  • Great video! I love the music too!

  • Beats driving to and from the office.

  • Damn. He was dropping some major ft/sec from 100 to 50.

  • What airport is this?

  • @vjaros1 i think is puerto princesa airport, on philippines.

  • @vjaros1 gan intl, maldives and the plane is mega maldives 767-300er flying from hong kong

  • @1246793580 haha, thanks, but a little late.

  • Man, thats my dream job. But isnt the descent a bit too fast? the glide slope barely finished announcing 50 before yelling 30 o_o idk i might be wrong because i have had no pilot training T_T

  • really coolbeing a pilot only a pilot can feel the heartthrob

  • Whats the symphony ?!

  • @teddy96 It's the "Ravel's Bolero" by Maurice Ravel

  • What airport is this guys?

  • Can anybody tell me the name of symphony playing in background

  • Bolero of Ravel

  • @djknightmare666 Not so mate, he's getting the aircraft set for a GA if he needs to (runway infringement by vehicle, etc) -- good airmanship, not bad. Generally, when you've finished with an MCP mode on approach, you set it to whatever a GA would demand.

  • because when you're passing from reverse to idle aircraft consider that it is a go around and retract spoilers, so doing that pilot maintain spoilers up and engine are on idle, spoilers and brakes finish the job to stop aircraft without an excessive nois (like reverses)

  • @kores212

that is not correct, because spoilers don't go down when you just set reversve back to idle or close reversers again. Just when you advance thrust levers from idle spoilers would go down.

  • i think that he is disarming spoilers to avoid spoilers to go down when he disengage reverses like this spoilers are still up and reverses are off...

  • At approx 2:00 he does something with the spoiler lever, by pressing up and then back. Is this normal? Was not the spoiler already set?

  • @Cappadoccia04 It's actually something he does at 1:58 seconds and not 2:00.

  • just checking the spoilers i think

  • @Cappadoccia04

It was just to disarm the Autobrakes that the captain brakes manually...one way to disarm the Autobrakes. Other one to turn the switch to off, but then you should lean forward a bit to reach the switch.

  • @zlindriver thanks for responding. However, are you sure it was the autobrake? It looks like he's confirming the speedbrake and spoiler. I would imagine the speed brake being closer to the landing gear lever.

  • As I wrote, one way to disarm Autobrake is to partly close the spoilers. The captain there moves the lever of the spoilers a bit forward and backward just to the point were his disarms the Autobrakes. And speedbrake (spoiler) lever is far away from the landing gear lever. The system is the same on the 737. I would assume that the captain wanted to make a smooth stop with manual braking rather then with autobrakes.

  • if hes flying that manually and hes pissing around with the MCP then that is bad airmanship not good.

  • where is that ?

  • very nice approach

  • excellent vid...more of this please!!

  • what music ?

  • BOLERO by RAVEL

  • Asia has he most insane, craziest and coolest approaches ever.

  • According the PAPI he was a bit to high (4 white lights)

  • where is this place

  • I hope the plane wasnt actually shaking that much... LOL

  • I presume what he was setting was the altitude, speed, heading etc should a go around be necessary

  • wat u trying to ask?

  • Bala i wasnt asking anything, i think someone else posted something saying "this wasnt visual you can see him setting the autopilot" or something along those lines... i cant remember now haha

  • ah k

  • its was turning the decent rate nob.

  • Nice !!!!

  • rabel bolero!! nice haha

  • fucking CRM in this aircraft the guy flight manualy and set himself the hdg or spd off off off nit nice mister

  • WHat Airport did they land At????

  • how old was this 767??? that cockpit looks pretty old to me.

  • The project is about 20 years old but still preatty modern and competitive. This is one of the most successfull planes ever built and that's the reasons it still flying in the most important airlines. Just curious: Her substitute is yet coming but you bet the 767 will be flying for a very long time yet. What is good is for ever.

    That's Boeing ;)

  • i know that. what i meant was, how old is this aircraft that they are flying?

  • oh really hard question...

  • @patrickcramer 30yrs.

  • all 767's cockpits have the new digital moniters so i dont have a clue what your talkign

    about

  • Yeah...He made that look like landing a Piper or Cessna at the local airstrip! Brilliant.... You can see why airlines want experience when they hire pilots...NOT just a type rating on the licence.

  • Landed as a CESSNA 150! lol

  • when huge aircraft such as this flyvisual approach, they don't just fly out of their dscreen do they?- using the PAPI to guide them down , or do they follow the ils down without engaging the A/P? would a B747 ever do this (at heathrow)?

  • They follow the papi.

  • its a little inaccurate - just a couple of lights..

  • If you don't already know, the PAPI is only used for vertical assistance during the approach.....I find it quite helpful regardless of the number of lights. Just my 2 cents.

  • no no i know what the presicion approach path indicator is but when your trying to put down a 747 right on the fixed distance makers can be difficult, all i wanted to know is how a 747 pilot sitting 8 meters in front of and 10 meters above the nose wheel can put a plane that large down on a runway just using his eyes so accurately

  • This might sound dumb, but it's not just using your eyes. You use your eyes, and your hands, to learn how to compensate. It's really hard to explain until you do it yourself.....but it's just like driving a car. You just know what to do. I call it instinct.

  • i fly pipers from time to time and its easy to get them down on the ground as they are quite short with a small wingspan but i always wondered how a pilot can get a heavy and land it as if he were landing a cessna

  • among the most skilled people in the world..nerves of steel...have nothing but the utmost respect for the pilots of the world

  • Great visual app, both 4 bars, experienced and skilled.

  • nice video!

    what's the song name?

    thanks,

  • Maurice Ravel - Bolero

  • thanks

  • realy a nice vid...great job but what language, japan?

  • they make it look so easy

  • did i see wrongly..or did he move idle reverse to normal reverse and then back to idle reverse?

  • He set idle the reverse on nose up (manual job) and did just few seconds after. Just in case he re-armed the airspeed brakes @2:00. I f is was not "just in case" he probably had some problem on the speed brakes. But I think he JUST wanted to PILOT.

  • Nice job by the two captains! Unusual and intersting video!

  • there is only ever ONE captain

  • I know (duh) but u see there can be two captains working the same leg, but only one Commander on the flightdeck!!

  • That's right, there can be 2 captains but only one commander..

  • ayyy weyyyy

  • what is this star wars

  • nice mnusic

  • Was loading necessary?

  • well one option is you join the airforce and then you can choose to go into commercial flying.

  • what qualifications should you be aiming for if you want to be hired by an airline whether for sponsorship or self funded training? ITs it possible to be hired without a phd in physics. COUld you be hired without a phd

  • It's look like Palau airport~~

    7200 feet short runway!!

  • lol he was abit left the centerline~

  • and the PNF was a bit to the right of the centerline.

  • @ 1.59 what is captain doing ?is he

    re-arming speed brakes...:)

  • no i think hes activating the sped brakes.

must've been something wrong with the speed brakes?

  • The 777 can be handled by a single pilot if needed, take for instance this incident,a captain was unwell and advised by a doctor on board to take some pills, by accident the doctor gave the captain sleeping pills and the captain was soon snoring in his seat only to wake up laying in the airport medical center.

  • short runway? they seemed to be braking hard.

  • is it possible to fly an aircraft without a first officer?

  • depends on the aircraft

    its in the manufacturers specifications

  • I believe it's because of company FOM/policy

  • yes the only reason they have two pilots is in case one dies, also it reduces the chances of an eror going overlooked

  • It's called crew resource management... each pilot performs certain duties depending on whether or not they're the flying pilot. Maximizes effiency and safety and helps to handle such complex machines... much more to it that having someone there on the off chances one dies out of nowhere...

  • hardly possible for modern day commercial aircraft, too much to manage.

  • Possible and legal if it's not a jet and its MTOW is under 12,500lb. Otherwise the aircraft needs to be certified for single pilot operation before it can be legally operated by only one pilot. Some small jets such as the Citation Mustang are certified like that, but never a transport jet the size of a B767. Is it possible though? yes I believe so.

  • But most airlines dun allow it anyway. Wats MTOW??

  • Maximum takeoff weight

  • Sorry I was not calling you a retard, what I was saying was that you retard the thrust or move to idle position at 10 feet above the runway when you are in a position to land. You retard as in You idle thrust, not that you are a retard. Regards

  • that was cool to see the view of landing from inside the pilotpit......good job:)

  • its not pilotpit its called the cockpit... haha cackpit haha COCKpit...

  • lol i was gonna say that but whatever :P

  • You retard at 10 feet above the runway and as soon as you touch down reverse thrust, brake and apply the speedbrake. Braking is usually controlled by the autobrake function.

  • before you land do you Idle, then at touchdown use the reversers?>

    nice flying

  • intresting approach. nice landing !!!

btw ? is there anyone into classical music ? I'm trying to figure out who originally wrote that. I heard it before but cant seem to figure it out. thanks for your help.

  • It´s Maurice Ravel´s "Boléro".

  • Excellent approach right on the glidepath for this VFR approach.

  • what airport is this?

  • To give you a hint: WHERE THE RAINBOW ENDS.

  • Great approach and landing kudos to the crew.

  • Are both pilots captains? And it was indeed a beautiful landing.

  • Yes you are a good observer. The company restrict only 2 catains can fly to this airport!

  • it was a real landing, dude. r u an enthusiast to this? most comments here are the ones that can't accept for themselves that there are other people better than they do. Asians are the BEST Pilots in the world. Mark that in stones.

  • BRAVO!

  • Now if we could get ou to pilot a car as well as you can fly a plane...hmmmm....come on! ;)

  • @moteet It is universally known that the best pilots are Canadians. It is even written in the Bible!

  • @THESKYMASTER

    lol

  • love it

  • Nice visual approach!!

  • Great landing!! I knew this whole ILS thing was just a fad....

  • nice one!

  • OMG that was like a perfect ILS approach

  • Beautiful video! Where did you film this? I'm guessing Cheju?
