The robots look like Fanucs which yes, will have been made in Japan. A bit strange as Hyundai make robots themselves too.
Robots have been doing this work since the 80's and have made a big difference to the quality of the product. But the main difference is Hyundai will have spent a lot more on R&D than most other manufacturers.
After three defective brand new GM/Saturn cars in a single year, I bought a Hyundai. Get your act together GM and I might buy a car from you but, after losing many thousands of dollars in a year because of your products issues I will stick with Hyundai. Your company did nothing to help me even though I was loyal to your brand. The only way I will ever buy any of your products in the future is by being given the absolute assurance that your vehicles have improved in the way Hyundai Motors has!
