The only reason you would attend a school in the UK from Canada other than LSA, Oxford or Cambridge is if you didn't get in anywhere in Canada. Look up the NCA process before you make this mistake.
@EgoNamahaNemoRex I don't think this is true at all. We have very successful alumni practising law in every major city in Canada. It is good advice however to look up the NCA requirements. We also have more information on our website on how to qualify in Canada after a UK law degree and your available options.
@yourmain yes, we have many Canadians who choose this option. You can find more information on the Law School website. I have messaged you the URL directly.
@yourmain A UK LLB does NOT allow you to practice in Canada. You submit your results to the NCA and they will instruct you to sit law exams (or study at a Canadian law school). After the exams, you sit the bar. It's remiss of the other poster to say 'many' Canadians choose UK study. In fact, it's a minority. Canadian law firms are not very receptive to foreign law degrees. But, UK law schools will encourage you and offer a rosy picture as Canadians pay high international fees.
@ricottafresh thanks for your thoughts. If you look at UK law schools, there is a significant number of Canadians studying in the UK for Law as it is a good option. The costs are relatively comparable to studying in Canada or US. While I can't comment for other Law Schools, Cardiff has alumni working in Law in every major city in Canada. It is good advice however to check the NCA requirements as additional exams are required (Cardiff alumni generally find these quite straightforward).
I want to study here.

Can a canadian go to a UK or US law school, yet work as a lawyer in Canada? What other exams ect need to be done in order to do so.
