I think an addiction to sex can literally kill you just like drugs or alcohol. What about people with AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. They kill you. How do you usually get them, by having sex. I am not here to debate, just wanted to give you my thoughts of what i thought about the video.

Many people do commit suicide, so publicly people laugh, but individually inside they know different.

It almost sounds like you challenge the validity of sex addiction. As a sex addict I am dismayed that you YOU Jazza would do that. It's not just people in high society that are addicted to sex. I feel like rephrasing that to say only homeless people are alcoholics. There are meetings I know . I've been to a couple. I'm 36 by the time I was 30 I had had sex with roughly 1,100 people. I skipped work and social time with friends for it. And I am not high society.

Yeah, I'd say that sex addiction is real. In a way, it's basically a drug addiction, with the drug in question being dopamine, which is released in the brain when a person reaches orgasm.
At the risk of generalising, the more a person has sex, the more familiar and less arousing it'll become, and they'll feel a greater need to experiment in other areas of sex (which may be more depraved or illegal), in order to get that same expulsion of dopamine in the brain.
Sex addiction can kill (There is AIDS, if your sent to prison there is a good chance of being killed and if your addiction includes married people there have been times an angry spouse has killed the addict). just a thought.

People are confused about the definition of addiction. It's not associated with destruction, but rather ultimate pleasure. People enjoy sex, so even though it's natural they call it an addiction. Plus, there's an abnormal amount of sexual stimuli now-a-days, so if people ARE addicted, it's no surprise.
How is having sex harmful to you? Unless it is, by your definition, it can't be an addiction. Too much sex is like too much money, a contradiction in terms.
It stops you apreciating your partner, they become a sexual being and lose any emotional connection. I think my friend has a sex addiction.
She ditches her friends to be with her boyfriend, they've done it in front of people in other peoples bed and gardens and in parks and in bushes.
I'm really worried about her, but she wont listen to any of us.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from with this.
I believe it probably does exist for certain people.. But at the same time, I'm sure some people are jumping on the bandwagon and using it as an excuse.
It's like the disorder where individuals try and have sex with people in their sleep. Sounds far-fetched, but it does happen. Yet at the same time, how many people use that as merely a lame excuse?
Who knows..
It does however excuse them as 'Not Guilty'..

Well, you can truly be addicted to almost anything. But yes, celebrities clearly use it as an excuse. I mean, I've had sex with people I shouldn't have and when I shouldn't have on a number of occasions, but I don't blame addiction. I think it become addiction when it interferes with your life.

This is tough, because sexual addiction is one of the most difficult addictions to define because it relates to the underlying need to procreate.Any addiction is unbalanced and is undesirable. Sexual addiction is a compulsion developed as a result of contributory factors and differs from promiscuity, which is basically people just being dingalings and wilfully self denying the consequences of their actions.Promiscuity has been perpetuated by the media resulting in a decrease in morality.

I do believe it is possible to be addicted to sex. First it just starts off as liking it then porgresses to the need to have sex. I know a few people that actually go through withdrawls if they don't have sex. Their therapists don't even know what to tell them...

People are confused about the definition of addiction. It's not associated with destruction, but rather ultimate pleasure. People enjoy sex, so even though it's natural they call it an addiction. Plus, there's an abnormal amount of sexual stimuli now-a-days, so if people ARE addicted, it's no surprise.

It stops you apreciating your partner, they become a sexual being and lose any emotional connection. When you are addicted you do not enjoy it any more, you just need it, no matter what the consequences are. Whether that be cheating on someone you genuinly care about or maturbating 20 times a day. Sex addiction is definately a harmfull thing, true addiction any way. and I do believe there is such a thing as too much money.

yes, there is such a thing, and it is VERY different from promiscuity. Addicts need more all the time, and it does rip apart families. My sister is divorcing after 32 years of marriage. The main reason sex addiction is on the rise is generally believed to be the accessability on the internet.
