Can someone answer this for me, one night I was outside and I spotted this light in the sky it was like one of those light switches that you can twist the switch to turn the light bright and turn it down to dim it. Well anyway I saw the light in the sky it was really bright first then all of a sudden it dimed down and started moving! UFO or Statilite?

I've seen something orange like that before where I live in September last year but the thing had a flame in the middle of it...

However it could be a lantern in the sky...

It's messed up, I keep seeing them too. I saw one the other night on my way to ASDA... i have no idea what they are but they have an odd resemblance to fireballs.

I took my video off the "Ufo's" down after i made some off the same design and tested if they worked, they did and thus these are "Ufo balloons"

UFO means Unidentified Flying Object.

So if the viewer does not know what they are wayching, they are classed as a UFO.

The word UFO does not instinctively mean alien space craft.

Those particular objects in the sky on the 12th July 2008 Northenden Manchester were in fact chinese lanterns released into the air from a wedding party bash in the area. I know this because I was there and help set the first few off. About 15 or so were released at about 10.20pm. You people shouldn't jump to fantastical conclusions so easily.

hey i saw one just like that on royal green road northenden just probably over the airport but it was flashing loads of diffrent colours, so i told my mates to have a look and they didn't see anything even when i looked in the same place, but anyway is that filmed by the weir near the tatton arms

Never in my life, but this summer saw twice those orange-bright-light in Croatia! 21.07. & 09.08. and was not flame lanterns for sure! Detailed describe on my channel, but unfortunately no videos of sights. Many similar sights around the world, obviously something is happening? Greetings..

me and my cousin were fishing in Thirlmere in the lake district and saw exactly the same thing goin fast across the sky. It was incredible.

Yea we caught loads of Perch average of 1lb, 2 rainbows smallish, and a 3lb brown trout, also hooked into a decent size pike but it got off at the banking.

sky lanterns do not fly at over 80 mph.What the video shows was just the tail end,by the time we got the video camera rigged up.The lights we saw were flying in formation like aircraft you would expect to see at an airshow.The difference being is that they were not aircraft as we know it.They were bright lights with no wings,no noise and there was little to no wind at all.Its a pity we did not have the complete thing on video as this would have made your hair stand up.

I saw the same thing as this in west didsbury about 8 weeks ago. There were around 5 or six little bright lights moving really slowly accross the sky, away from each other.

I also saw some of these mysterious bright lights in the sky on the same day not far from Northenden. I didn't have a video recorder or camera at hand but after watching this video I'm convinced there is definitely another form of life.
