Ehhh I cna see what your saying I think the box should say 9 and up not 9-16 I still like building some legos now and then if they get a good and challenging set ill put it in my city which takes up a small part of my basement
Those Lego castle or knights kingdom in the 80s and 90s and the pirate sets from the 80s and 90s I loved those they were so fun to build and I just recently got a big box of Lego from a thrift shop for $30 and inside was 7 boxes of unopened Lego castle and pirate sets from the 80s and 90s I was soooooooooooooo happy and blunty is the ONLY person I go to for reviews cuz he is frickin awesome

I've made a foot high storm trooper and a 1 min long lego movie that took me and my mate about 2 months to finish with no sound both when I was about 7 or 8
If I find the vid I'll upload it and send you the link
My fave kit is, the old Lego Town sets from the late 80's - early 90's, especially The Holiday Villa, everytime I see that set on EBay, I always get sniped. :(
i love the yota one it took me almost 3 days. and ones i got it done i never debilt it i love playing with him... ok really i like spinning his head around and around. sorry i am a bad speller
I love leggos. My fav build of all time was not from a set. Me and my cuzin were playing a game and we had about 10 2 gallon things (idk what they were) and I started making a ship for my lego guys. It took me nearly a week of almost nonstop building and about 3 of the 2 gallon things to finish(it was during the summer and I had nothing to do) and it was about 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and 5 feet high
I used to love putting together the Star Wars kits. I havn't put together a proper Lego model in years. I still have all my Lego bricks but havn't played around with them in ages. I should do that.
Legos are amazing! I have recently "rediscovered" legos again. I was lookng through instructables and I found this lego gun! it was so awasome that I stated to build it right away...
Of course, It took me a week or so to build it because of work and family, ect.
Being a kid is great, and I will never lose my inner kid!
Red Baron. Man! I just rediscovered Legos the other day. Now I know what I've been missing since I hit High School and stopped messing with them. hahaha!
Totally didn't know you did the animations! They're great!
Wow -- talk about rekindling a childhood memory...
For me it was a set -- and thinking about it I can't remember if it was a helicopter or airplane -- the color was black definitely, however I am trying my hardest to remember and at times I think the set could have built both. anyways I plan on getting me a set to see if that old childhood memory reburns...
i just love the ultimate collectors series millenium falcon im still a kid yah i just love lego. my mom says dats how i became smart at using de computer so ya
my favourite lego kit was really old school, it was the castle with the knights and horses. I loved that kit, must have built it up, tore it down only to build it again in new and more intricate ways about a hundred times.
Personally i hate the standard set lego give you like the fie truck or the car... I always build mu own thing that actually does something and that actually works. (i'm not talking about tecnic(however you spell it))!
I built a huge ass Sopwith Camel Lego kit a few years ago my friend that runs an auction gave me( it was part of a lot he bought and lego's didn't sell well in his auction.) I was amazed how challenging it was, up there with some of the model kits I build.
i feel happy for you man, cause, there's just so much joy in you with that technic.
oh, just to mention, you obviously remember bionicle, right? of course you do, anyway, the island the the toa lived on (mata nui) was named after the great spirit him self, well, the island is destroyed cause, underneath the island was the head of mata nui. Mata Nui is 40 million feet tall
My favorite lego kits are basically everything excluding bellville ect as they are more intended for the opposite gender, but one of my favorites recently would have to be the Exo - force golden titan (i think thats its name) and/ or the lego agents mobile base. go lego!
My favourite Lego set I own is either the Star Destroyer playset (the small one), or the new AT-TE. I'm 16 and I still love LEGO. I know it sounds sad, but I'll probably still love it when I'm an old man

I'm A bionicle fan myself. The other day i found all of my old bionicles pieces and turned them into a 13 armed, 4 headed, 8 legged toa......... Yeah i uh..... Lost some of the old pieces.... Eh heheheheh O.o

My personal favorite was probably either the Y-Wing from Star Wars (picked up, dropped, and shattered) or one of those really old ones where you make the pirate bay with all the little working cannons and you can make the little figurines do miniature battles and such. This video reminded me of how amazing legos were, because you could never have too many. I always had a large bin with a bunch of legos (constructed and otherwise) that I'd occasionally go through and just build some random thing.
Don't really have a favourite. And for some reason lost a little interest. Maybe lack or loss of pieces. The computer has taken over my life. That which I found fun was that after I built according to the manual, I looked, enjoyed, then broke it down and mixed it with everything else. Then I build my own thing with the different pieces from different packages. Only problem is that one can't save the contruction always, and when thinking of something new I have to get parts from another constr.:(
my favorite legoa set is the off roader from technic i got it as a early christmas present and guess what.... i had it 3 days then it lost a wheel in a field and i never found it! my 2nd favorite is Fire Vulture from Exo force and my 3rd is .... this is a hard one.... um i would have to Say a cross between the Tunder fury(Exo force) and the Rally truck fro mTechnic!(never had it but it rly looks special)
my favorite lego set was one of a viking ship it was awsome and had wheels on the bottom of it, so i could roll it on the carpet floor it also came with a sea serpent which was amazing XD i had a dragon from another set of the same style so the serpent and dragon reguly got in fights XD
4 years ago i had my eye on this massive technic kit and my parents bought it for me christmas, along with the futurama box set and my memory of it was, sitting infront of the tv watching every single ep of futurama in order making this kit up and my god, it took along time but when it was finished i had this Enzo Ferrari thats 18 inches long 9 inches wide working V12 engine and spring loaded doors it was spectacular and ive never dismantled it since now its on display in my cabinet looking sexy
oh man I remember when I was 8 and my bro was 15 we made a lego space ship together, but I can't remember the name. But it was a space ship, and had an engine and everything! Good times... good times...
I remember building and playing with the 1994-95 Excaliber set. It had the most realistic looking castle for Lego production. I remember how complex it was to put this ting together on top of a blank station (which I am finding is extremely hard to find now a days. But it was still fun being able to play with the knights in a real looking castle.
i can't say lego kits but my favorite legos are the bionicles their like the special Technic legos,so that means i like the technic legos and i think my favorite lego kit is the lego Exo-Force Santei Base.
I never had any of the "kits", only the general-purpose blocks, plates, wheels (and some windows & roof tiles for houses). But I build my own models like the 1701 Enterprise (2' long), and Batlestar (4' long) among others.
I had a lego dolls house, i don't remember what it was called but im sure it would go along the lines of lego dolls house. You built your own furniture and it was so fun. I loved it
Damn thanks for bringing this up Blunty. Im gonna pick that up. I havent played with legos since I was about 8 years old. And damn were they great. No favorite kit I just built whatever I wanted too.
lol mine was also the star destroyer but i was lazy in building it. insted of weeks it took me months. then a year later it was knoked over and it broke. i was very mad and very sad and i sort of gave up legos for a while, but recently i have gained my interst of legos back. :D
I was mucking around with Technic and the NXT robotics stuff that LEGO has for most of last year. It was for a robotics competition, but naturally it went up in a beautiful ball of smoke on the night before the actual comp.
Ah.... good times ^_^
NB: The Lego came out completely unscathed. So it's ALL good!
The first and only Technic LEGO I ever bought and owned. Got it back in 95-96, still have it. Really awesome kit.
Huge car size. Individual suspension. 4WD, where all the wheels are connected to the V8 engine. Rolling the car made the 8 cylinders pump as on a real engine. On top of that, you have a working 4 speed gearbox, higher gear for faster moving cylinders.
Also came with a 2nd manual for building a F1 racer out of the pieces. Equaly awesome as the main one.
My personal favorite is the Lego Technic crane truck

This video reminded me of how amazing legos were, because you could never have too many. I always had a large bin with a bunch of legos (constructed and otherwise) that I'd occasionally go through and just build some random thing.

my favorite lego set is the 7298 Dino Air Tracker because it is the first set that i got that was over a foot!

I got this one that could build all these blue colored robots, and stuff. I could never build the giant robot, but I could build the tiny one.

oh man I remember when I was 8 and my bro was 15 we made a lego space ship together, but I can't remember the name.

LEGO is deeply, DEEPLY geeky. But it is awesome to build engines out of lego. Just search for "Lego V8 32 valve" here!

i can't say lego kits but my favorite legos are the bionicles their like the special Technic legos,so that means i like the technic legos and i think my favorite lego kit is the lego Exo-Force Santei Base.
cjbj24 2 years ago
I never had any of the "kits", only the general-purpose blocks, plates, wheels (and some windows & roof tiles for houses). But I build my own models like the 1701 Enterprise (2' long), and Batlestar (4' long) among others.

I've always been partial the the first Bionicle sets, although they seem interesting now too.
I'm still trying to find a darn proper Stargate build for them Legos.
Also prefer Technic over standard, just because.

I had a lego dolls house, i don't remember what it was called but im sure it would go along the lines of lego dolls house. You built your own furniture and it was so fun. I loved it

When I was little I had a set I don't remember what it was called though but it was like a space mission or something it was the best.

Hey, nice touch with Optimus =D
I was mucking around with Technic and the NXT robotics stuff that LEGO has for most of last year. It was for a robotics competition, but naturally it went up in a beautiful ball of smoke on the night before the actual comp.
Ah.... good times ^_^
NB: The Lego came out completely unscathed. So it's ALL good!

I bought some Blue Airplane thing when I was little. It was awesome. About a foot long, 5 inches high.
Bought it with my own money at age 5, and put it together... Then my moms friends son stole it and broke it.

Technic LEGO nr 8880.
