IC 1011 exists. But it is smaller than pinwheel galaxy. IC 1101 is VERY big. 6 million ly. It is the largest galaxy discovered.

How the bloody hell are you supposed to travel to them. My theory is you have to be dead to real explore the heavens. You can only explore it in the spiritual form and not in the physical. At least not yet.

The universe is so so so so big, its just crazy, there has to be life.
But then again the chances of life is also crazy. 20 amino acids needed for life, then the essential elements, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen etc, planets water content, distant from the star it orbits relative to the size of it, magnetic poles that block the Electromagnetc radiation, atmosphere levels.
i can go on and on its just a question we might never know...

Just because *we* wouldn't be able to survive high radioactive levels doesn't mean that absolutely no form of life could ever form under those circumstances.

@obsidian00 Lets not forget that while there is only 200 billion or stars in this galaxy, there is trillion upon trillion stars in the IC 1101 galaxy. Like you say, the chances of we being along, in the universe, is astronomicly small. Theres a less chance life would have been created on earth then there is aliens in the universe. =P

That's not true. If you know Christianity for example the answer is far from easy. Eighter accept Jesus as your Saviour and have his holy Spirit come and change your life, or be lost. Not an easy answer to life. Infact 'live life be happy' is a much easier answer and thats more common found among non-religious people.

There are no religious experiences with unicorns; but a great many people say they have had their lives changed because of how Jesus actively pulled their out of their misery.

There ís a difference because God is real (to the people who believe in HIm) as they have seen noticeble (!) change in their lives. It isn't a dead series of traditions or nice stories or book of rules; it is a spiritual connection which they can sense with their minds and bodies and a change in their inward self.
