I think this title is a bit misleading in a sense that yes, it is "fast" food because it's really convenient but its not the same type of fast food that you would think of in the U.S. it's not a BK or a Mcdonalds. This is a kaitenzushi. you bring your family to eat there, etc. It's not a place where you walk in and walk out after paying $6 for a Big Mac meal.

fast food in Japan is more like Mos Burger, Mcdonalds, and such.

Maybe in some asian resturants in america they have sushi conveyor belts  but not in regular american resturants.

I've certainly heard of them in the U.S. although I've never been in one personally. My mother once told me about one she went to in the 70's in S.F. that served the sushi on plates shaped like little boats. Don't ask me why she remembered it.

ooh nice... these sort of sushi restaurants are common in some parts of Southeast Asia too... but this one in Jap definitely looks more authentic! thanks for sharing
