Sadly too many kids are suckered in by the shiney, over produced "riffs" by these modern fucks. They just want to jump on the bandwagon to stop themselves from being unpopular. Pop-culture is fucking bullshit.

I started listening to metal when I was about 11.. I'm 22 now.. go figure. I have to say, I lost friends from them following the trends and not wanting to myself. Which is pretty pathetic. I wasn't "cool" to them anymore. Fuck 'em.

I see what you mean, but good metal doesn't have to be poorly produced. However pretty much any genre that ends in "Core", is unimaginative bullshit. Deathcore, Grindcore, Metalcore, Hardcore, all of it is garbage.
