Other times it's been desribed as unfair to go up against it & that even against 8-1 odds it still hasn't been a challenge for the F22 to win

I think the heading is slightly mis-leading: the camera angle of shot only gives the illusion of a close mid-air miss-the bank away from each other after the initial roll. But, i'm missing the bigger issue here-at one third of the cost of a F-22 raptor with (claimed to be more) stealthier than the F-22 is huge drawcard for savings orientated asian nations. Crikey, it makes our commitment to the JSF look like a school boy/girl crush.
I would trash talk about the PAK FA T-50 compared to the F22; however seeing how the US can't afford the F22 it may as well not exsist. Since the PAK FA T-50 is 1/4 the price of an F22 it is quite the accomplishment even if the engine tech is a generation behind :)
@bloodswetandgears Cheaper? Not really! The Russian dollar, or "rubel", is worth .33 cents for every American dollar. It's easy to have low costs at that rate. However prototypes are not the benchmark for actual costs. The flyaway price for the, combat ready, production model will increase as there are more technologies to add on and design changes to come. The price will rise at least early on. Only a long production run will make the plane "cheaper"!

Sweet plane, much better than that Chinese piece of shit. Even though i am a American and i like the fighters Northrop Grumman and Boeing made, i always found the fighters made by Sukhoi and MiG to be cooler. Though the F-14 Tomcat is still the coolest plane ever made.

I think the heading is slightly mis-leading: the camera angle of shot only gives the illusion of a close mid-air miss-the bank away from each other after the initial roll. But, i'm missing the bigger issue here-at one third of the cost of a F-22 raptor with (claimed to be more) stealthier than the F-22 is huge drawcard for savings orientated asian nations. Crikey, it makes our commitment to the JSF look like a school boy/girl crush.

I would trash talk about the PAK FA T-50 compared to the F22; however seeing how the US can't afford the F22 it may as well not exsist. Since the PAK FA T-50 is 1/4 the price of an F22 it is quite the accomplishment even if the engine tech is a generation behind :)

@bloodswetandgears Cheaper? Not really! The Russian dollar, or "rubel", is worth .33 cents for every American dollar. It's easy to have low costs at that rate. However prototypes are not the benchmark for actual costs. The flyaway price for the, combat ready, production model will increase as there are more technologies to add on and design changes to come. The price will rise at least early on. Only a long production run will make the plane "cheaper"!

Also I was talking to an American audience which is why I referred to the "rubel" as the "Russian dollar". It's a common practice. You should relax my friend. This is not a serious matter.

im really impressed how the designers made the plane so "flat". when i hear 5th gen jets im thinking about giant boxes and super engines that can make the plane go as fast as a jet even with "box" body and stealth. good job sukhoi ^_^

Sweet plane, much better than that Chinese piece of shit. Even though i am a American and i like the fighters Northrop Grumman and Boeing made, i always found the fighters made by Sukhoi and MiG to be cooler. Though the F-14 Tomcat is still the coolest plane ever made.
