Everytime I watch this video i get tears on my eyes. Thank you Bonnaroo for a truly amazing experience. Seeing this band live was the one of the best 1 hour and 30 minutes of my life!!!

The sound was messed up all weekend at Bonnaroo, it was at the point of ridiculous. Still, every single act was amazing, especially these guys. They tore it up. Phenomenal.

They didn't plug the lead vocal into the mixer for the recording, and when they corrected the problem they bypassed the vocal fx that were likely heard in the crowd... weird, it's like he's naked :0

@timshenkjr Yep... It's actually a great bit of footage because you can hear Win's "naked" singing voice... Sounds like they only really modify it with Reverb and a tiny bit of equalisation.

yeah we were in the front his mic was not turned up til about halfway through the song. the guy in the front were getting to hear his voice through monitors and other mics. they were incredible though best performance of the whole weekend.

the mics were fine for the performance there. we heard everything. they must not have plugged the mics into whatever they were recording with

I've been doing sound mixing for years and i don't know how this happens with some performances. i usually only get the music (because the mic is off) or i get too much of the mic (so what, you just turn it down) but i don't know how you get so little of the mic and then leave it like that.

But do you know what the worst part is?

it's that if the sound was done right i think this would have been the best performance of theirs that I've seen.

If anyone knows who the sound mixing guy was, please tell me so I can punch him in the face. I don't know shit about sound mixing but I swear even I could have done a better job, Arcade Fire's awesome performance was totally ruined by the terrible sound and microphone problems throughout the whole broadcast :/ I hope whoever did this at Bonnaroo are ashamed of themselves.

Ah, the equalisation so wrong at the beginning. Couldn't hear his voice. Shame. Rest was awesome, tho :)
