two things 1. beautiful aircraft im so freaking jealous you really do the old warbird justice unlike the others ive seen and 2. is this mustag a kit that you purhased or a scratch built from the wheels up aircraft
Is this P-51 replica really 80% scale? You guys are planning on using a supercharged V-8? What will the horsepower be? Is it a kit for sale? If so, what is the cost? When does your company plan on marketing it? How far along in development are you? Has it flown yet? Please reply to maloy51@msn.com. THANKS!
Are you able to buy a smaller bubble canopy, or did you have to make one? I know they are expensive. If you made it, is it 1/4" thick, or 1/8". Thanks, Don
Thanks, I need to "blow" two for my project. I am still working on my fuselage plug, and will be making it out of composites. Yours is a work of art, being done in aluminum. Good luck, and will it be flying soon? Post videos of your test flights.
ToowoombaAce, I like the larger scale (like yours), mustangs, they look more authentic to detail. The Stewart-51, (S-51), uses the big block chevy, and it seems to be a good fit, and I have seen the Thunder Mustang fly with the Falconer V-12. I was hoping to get closer to the sound of the allison in my project by using the Viper V-10. The power to weight ratio of an auto conversion is a great alternative. What type of psru are you using? Post more videos, as you can, Thanks Don
We are using a supercharged chev V8, and it is a smaller scale that is 80% so 20% smaller than the real thing. And feal free to ask any more questions about the project.

It is a scratch build from our own design, two seater dual controls with a supercharged V8.
