Some measure the front of the wave all the way down to the bowl where its sucking off the reef others measure the wall of water above the bowl which is the same as measuring down the back of a wave in most cases. ;-) Some evil hollow waves have hardly any back to them though its as if the face drop away like an elevator.

Some measure the front of the wave all the way down to the bowl where its sucking off the reef others measure the wall of water above the bowl which is the same as measuring down the back of a wave in most cases. ;-) Some evil hollow waves have hardly any back to them though its as if the face drop away like an elevator.
