@2346 Yeah, pretty much. Company builds the first original guitar like a custom guitar. And then after an artist had tried it (sometimes they even take it on the tour with them) and approves it, a company starts making the serial model of that signature guitar. It takes them awhile to get all the parts needed (so they won't have to stop in the middle of production to order more parts), and even longer if it's a new shape of guitar - because they need to reprogram the software on all machines.

i thought the high priced deans were hand made cause on esps they got ltd which are the production line guitars and then esp which are hand made but they are the same guitars

@2346 Well, the USA made guitars are the closest to handmade guitars. They still don't carve them out of wood by hand, but they do the paintjob more accurately, assembly is done by professionals, they do more quality checks. But Korean made guitars are made pretty much on a conveyer belt by someone who doesn't know much about guitars. There is a different quality control depending on the country it was made in. I've seen some pretty ugly ESP's out there, as well as some flawless LTD's.

i have no idea.. but id say that the fixed bridge is really popular guitar companies usually have 2 differents types of the same guitar one with a floyd rose and one with a fixed but the floyd might have a better whammy system then the other bridge i wouldnt no i dont buy guitars with floyd roses or use em my guitar teacher bought one broke within a week and couldnt fixed it had to buy a whole new bridge
