Do not worry to much. I worked for the Census, and they are to incompetent to figure out simple math. To everone, you must fill out the amount of people who live in your house. That is about it. Refer to the Consitution and Bill of Rights for more on the basics that you must fill out.

Miranda warnings only apply to people in custody, people not free to leave. The Census is not a criminal case, so no 5th amendment rights apply. people should understand their idol, the constitution they worship.

Any time you speak to any person, working for the govt or not, your 5th Amendment rights exist. Miranda warning are required by law enforcement to "REMIND" a person of their rights while being taken into custody.

I'd simply "ASK" a census worker to tell me my Miranda rights so it would be familiar to them. I have the right to remain silent.

Tax protesters try this kind or argument to say they don't need to fill out tax forms...they take that argument all the way to prison and can stew over it in their cells. The census is not a criminal case. You fill out tax forms, driver license forms, all sorts of forms to the government, but get a kick off blowing off the census pretending it's patriotic.

Tax protesters are right. If you can answer their question to "Show them the law that requires them to pay an income tax" then there is $1,000,000 sitting there for you. They run ads in the WSJ.

There are many "tax protesters" that are not in jail cells either. A 1040 forces you to sign something that can incriminate you.

@awarepatriot Just asking people for a count without any other information would be a horribly inaccurate count, it's easy to make up ridiculous numbers like 46 and mail it in, it's quite another to write out 46 names, with dates of birth and so on, They need race info to comply with federal law requiring congressional districts not be designed to minimize certain racial groups, you may disagree with that, but must accept you are in the minority and the minority does not rule.

You fill them out because you know there will be problems if you don't; they will garnish wages, freeze accounts, ect. Us poor census workers have to just take the brunt of the anti-government paranoia.

Just because somebody hold a gun to your head and makes threats of what they will do if you don't pay, doesn't make it right. Many people protest taxes. The income tax is not apportioned as the constitution mandates making it an illegal tax.

If you wants to force another to do something they don't want to do then morally that is wrong. regardless what the law says. laws change society change what type of society do you want to live in is determined by what laws are enforced and what laws are not. I live in Scotland and they are some 16th century law that still exist on paper, but are not enforced.

Just like if you tell a police officer they can't search your car and they threaten to bring in the dogs. They can't, but most people hear that bluff and fall for it. To be obligated to pay a "non compliance" fee, you must first be contractually obligated to comply with something. I'd say 95% of americans are uneducated on such matters and so they get suckered.

All you have to do is NOT fill it out at all. Stay off the grid. If they come to the door, just dont answer it. It just sais you get in trouble, but when you read the facts you find out they cant do shit about it. If you fill out any part & dont complete it, they will come. Love the video! I just don't think the economy will collapse. There is too much activity for the economy to collapse. The government will print money until everything is up and running. The dollar will collapse in value eventually. Our lives will be like a 3rd world country when China gets up and rolling with their middle class, but that's 10 years away. chicks are lots of fun.. and yes, chicken will eat chicken, basicly table scraps.. they love it.. they also love to be held. the more you hold them, the more tame they will be. get them used to being picked up, and it will be much easier to handle them when they are adults. dont worry about butchering them.. my kids got over it.. when they show to be roo's, you'll be butchering them. if you wait to long, they dont taiste so good..

We have Rhode Island Reds as well and Barred Rocks. Both are great layers and friendly. You'll be very pleased. Our experience is that they will devour a garden when it is young - ours spend the winter in the garden to fertilize, but once we plant in May, they are banned until October. They will eat every young sprout and half of every tomato, all the cruciferous veggies...just keep them out of the garden till it is about done. Then let them have at it.  Yum yum. Good for you.

@DigitalSkyline Pretty much all you need is 5 sqft for each chicken you have. But I would suggest a bit more. They survive the winter in a coop.... They are really pretty cheap over all. They were about $3 each.

We have had laying hens for about 3 months. I love them!  We lost one to the neighbors dog and no one but me wanted to eat it. =) My son is 2 and he loves them. We layed scrap linoleum down the walls and floor and it is a breeze to clean up. Have fun!

Great Breed, that is what we have! they love roaches, grubs.

They didn't bother any of our herbs or green beans. But they loved, Borage, beet tops, any cabbage family, spinach and corn. They didn't bother the tomatoes and bell peppers until end of season, after they ate all their favs. We grow sesame, flax, quinoa, and amaranth just for them.

You will be eating "a few" eggs!!!! If they are each laying an egg a day you are better off not butchering them. You will be getting a good protein supply from the eggs. You lose a source of protein after the chicken has been killed and eaten.

Once in a while we'll get a blood spec (it's harmless and the egg is still good to use), but definitely haven't experienced having every egg affected. Of course, no need for a rooster if you don't want chicks and in urban settings, you are better off without them due to the noise.
