Think we're using US built Lightning fighters (modern version of our old sea harrier but pretty sexy it has to be said). Ironic the best looking fighter in the world is still the Swedish Saab IMO; whether it could hit Mount Kenya with a bomb is another matter, but it'd look damn good doing it.

I hope the US Navy has better funding nowadays... the whole situation turned into a mess for following reasons:

1. Shit Radar system (showed two enemy aircraft instead of six)

2. Iceman, Hollywood and Maverick were not allowed to use expensive long range Air-to-Air missiles (AMRAAM, Phoenix etc.)

3. Training at "Top Gun" was insufficient. Enemy planes spotted Iceman and Hollywood before they could engage

4. Catapults from the aircraft carrier broke after launching three planes
