those are called RESPECTABLE PLAYERS, they love the characters they choose regardless of tiers, not they love to win then choose the best(easiest) characters. top tier characters being top cos they have more "easy to win" tactics up their sleeves. if you bother trace and watch some older tournament vids you will notice far more variety of chars taking part and some of them actually did very well, but now... "sigh". bet you are one of them, cos you dont seem to get what i said at the 1st place

IMO: if one chooses a top tier character for the sake of it, then so be it. beginners/novices will lose more often regardless of what character they choose, and experts will win more often regardless of what character they use. so this issue is moot.

and also it's simply not true that better players will win regardless. as hayao and kuroda so often show they CAN win regardless but they are often way up against it and simply have to work a lot harder to get the win. so the point is so many players of roughly even levels will lose or win entirely because of a major tier difference. as an xcopy 12 player i see it all the time, the disadvantage is BIG.

I agree, like you said they are harder to win matches. my points is, and also what you said as well, THEY CAN WIN with those chars. new generation players are all resorting to "easy mode" chars, they and think just like you think: "i have to work hard for a win, why bothered?", and that is why those who are WILLING to work harder deserve more GOD DAMN RESPECT. BTW, XCOPY is a suicidal move, whoever uses it is simply not thinking clear, nothing to do with skills.

what are you talking about? if you select xcopy you don't HAVE to lose. you're contradicting yourself now as you said all these disadvantages mean is that you have to work harder. the same applies to xcopy, if you are that much better than them you can do it. i'm not at tournament level by i win 80% of my fights online against good players who are no fools with xcopy. whilst i couldn't do that in a tournament, it's not impossible and doing so would be entirely about....skills!

i already said my yun would lose at tournament level (all my characters would) i never complained about that once. a better player winning is fine by me which is all that would happen. but that is exactly what i want, the best man to win. if player a is at a 2x disadvantage and only just loses, tell me who deserves greater pride.

Hayao's win ratio is better than YSB's. Hayao's parry(see vid title - Hugo By Hayao !!!), block chains, and ability to punish is what makes him so good. YSB plays an overly agressive hugo, thats why you seem him using super art 3 half the time, but is very entertaining to watch. Both players have really good hugos but I would have to give it to Hayao ;) Nonetheless, bottom Tier characters ftw.
