@randomrazr apple recommends doing this once per month. It isn't necessarily "reconditioning" but just something that will help you get the most from your battery over the long run. @salomon009 Try restarting it -- hold down the button on the top and the home button for more than 5 seconds. If that doesn't work, then it may be a hardware problem. Have someone (Apple Store) take a look.

@salomon009 Do you mean you are trying to use tmobile in the U.S., or you are in a country where tmobile is one of the carriers allowed? If the later, then contact support and ask for help. If the former, then there's nothing I can do to help as I don't use my iPhone that way.

Could just be near the end of its life. You can try discharging it all the way, and then charging it up all the way -- a few times, maybe. See if it gets better. But you may just need to get the battery replaced -- unless you plan on upgrading the phone soon.

It depends on your model and how old the battery is. For new Macs, Apple shows how long a battery should last under normal conditions on the sales page on their site.

nice vid. little tips like these make a BIG difference to what i think is a poor battery. i know the iphone does a hell of alot of things and some of these i now could not live without, but the battery is just not enough! i cant get through an 8 hour shift with mine! SBSettings on a jailbroken iphone can help a little also, same things just a little more accessible and easier to toggle as and when you need to.

Personally I feel most of his tips are crap switching off iPhone for more battery I need phone CALLS!!!Turning off 3g F*** Off!!! If I was gonna do that I might as well of bought a 1st gen iPhone. Personally the only thing that has worked for me is getting those cases with a built in rechargeable battery and you just flick a switch and your iPhone is charging.. I also carry a tiny backup battery that I can just stick in when I'm near out of battery life that I got off eBay and it works a charm.

Sorry you don't like the tips. There are trade-offs with every strategy. Not everyone needs all the features of the iPhone all the time so sometimes these can be useful.

The iPhone screen isn't big enough to make HD look HD. So standard definition movies are all you need. But anyway, you can't legally get most movies for free (why are they making the movies, then?) But some independent filmmakers may release their movies for free and you can find those at their Web sites (I don't know of any) or you can find old movies that have run out of copyright available for download -- search for "public domain movies" to get started.

this tips are damn stupid. if you turn all that off it's even more useless brick as already is with it's battery life. turn the phone on and off? damn it.. it's a phone not a computer. my phone can handle 1 week without charning it. i was using iphone for a week and went crazy.

One thing to consider .. if you charge everyday, how much battery life you get after a 365 charging cycles? an hour?

No. Some apps, when running, use a lot of processor power and/or hard drive access which will drain your battery faster than other apps that do not.

Usually, you press the top button or the main button on the front, depending on whether it is asleep or completely off. Are you having trouble getting your iPhone to turn on? If so, you may have a dead battery. If that isn't the case, you'll need to take it in.
