  • I cannot imagine living the life I have lived without Mr. Peterson. Have listened to him every day from 55 years ago, when I bought the first record with my babysitting money. Bless you forever, Sir.

  • @MsCatwink Amen!

  • What are the songs featured in the video?

  • saludos Isabel

  • He was fantastic.

  • I gotta pick this Mosaic up!

  • Thank you for the story, sound and pictures..

  • Great stuff.. Thanks alot

  • Oscar:Jazz's heart

  • With Art Blakey as the pulse, keeping the rhythm going, John Coltrane as it's voice, singing those fine melodies, Ellington as the brain, concocting the standards, and Count Basie as the bones, keeping everything tight and together in the Big Bands.

  • Ray Brown = Jazz's heartbeat!

  • thank you, I cried when he died, greatest canadian of all he was

  • I really love your postings. Oscar Peterson was amazing. I am relatively new to Jazz, but I have heard Pete Townsend do a song called Ode to Barney Kessel. Nice to put a face with the name.

  • It is 2 early by December 23 after Oscar Peterson left for the distance of the eternity.

I want to thank the parents who brought up Oscar! I want to thank for Norman Grantz which the world introduced Oscar to!

And I want to thank for Oscar Peterson which grew up in historic Pianist in response to expectation!

  • Oscar is the best, a true virtuoso.

  • A must have!
