I am very disappointed at this so-called "ant expert." The scientific method he showed with the paper and chemical trail doesn't really prove definitively how ants communicate. From what I saw in this clip he dragged the pencil from the first piece of food and he never stated the possibility that one ant was visually following (since he placed it so close) and then having the others follow as well...

@mnagmobile1 he said in the hour long presentation that ants don't see very well. they did not follow the pencil visually. they were following the chemical trail. i knew about this stuff when i was a kid, but then i had an avid interest in nature, even as a child. i used to read all sorts of books about nature. i think more people should do the same. the natural world is just so interesting, i don't see how any one else couldn't be interested about it.

Back then when i was a Kid me and my friends did this all the time.

This was like a real time strategy game.When we found two nests near each other

we let them fight.This was fun.

@jayshep110 the ants would attack or drive away the ant you put on their mound. they can sense whether an ant is a member of their community or not. they don't tolerate interlopers.

nah i'm alright thanks.. I would rather read about ants in a science book (fiction) then a holy book (non-fiction) and trust me evolution created ants, not Allah.

I just hate it when people use their religion to explain things, when they perfectly well know that not everyone believes the same things.

You mean the ones ya kill, than they keep on coming and dying more and more until you have a giant pile of them. But for some reason they keep on coming and you cant stop the horde so you keep smushing away and find horrible ways to torture them since theres so many. First things first though you always smash em than torture away. God I remember doing that as a kid for days despite I had a sega lol.
