just an fyi there's an "H" in bushing... And i suggest using jack stands instead of hoping that the small jack will hold the car. better safe than sorry.

Why 2 pipe end caps? and not 2 small flat pieces of sheet metal?

@donkey330 You have to apply force and have some place for the busing to go. The caps just happen to work perfectly.
