@robbos44 I have just been there. From memory it is about 60 Egyptian pounds to enter the valley of the kings and for that you can visit 3 tombs but not King Tuts. To visit King Tut it will cost you another 100 Egyptian pounds.
We saw the tombs of Ramses I, III and IX and King Tut. So amazing to see him still in his tomb.

By looking at the paintings, it's not hard to see that the Egyptians and King Tut were black. It irritates me that movies and researchers want to claim them to be white when it clearly shows they weren't white at all.
A very nice shot of the tomb paintings starts at :20. You see most of them as the camera pans. You also see Tut's signature quartzite sarcophagus at center. The burial chamber was the only part of the tomb to receive wall decorations. LOL This is certainly Tut's tomb, so I guess you're the Tooth Fairy. That doorway at the start, with the Egyptian standing there, was where Carter poked a hole through to look inside, and said to Carnarvon, "Wonderful things!"

@robbos44 I have just been there. From memory it is about 60 Egyptian pounds to enter the valley of the kings and for that you can visit 3 tombs but not King Tuts. To visit King Tut it will cost you another 100 Egyptian pounds.
We saw the tombs of Ramses I, III and IX and King Tut. So amazing to see him still in his tomb.

Just got back from Egypt! King Tut's now out of his sarcophagus and in a glass case for all to see on the left side of the tomb. It was soooo cool, but now cameras are not allowed and I was not able to get pictures of him :(

@iRbetch There weren't any curses on the mummies! Unless there was a inscription stating otherwise. Some times they would place clay bricks with statues with inscriptions warning robbers not to take the gold or possessions of the being. Other then that, they were placed there in hopes of being forever remembered and immortalized! If anything, I think they would be pleased.
Besides, Tutankhamen was one of the only left almost fully intact...

I so agree. I just visited the exhibit and felt that we were descrating his afterlife and if we're the victims of the pharoh's curse, then we deserve it. But having said that, experiencing first hand Egyptian cultural and artistic advances was beyond anything I've encountered before.

I visited Cairo last week and saw all the sites, the highlight being king tuts gold mask which is simply outstanding. I also saw the mummys in Cairo museum, and their condition considering how old they are is just brilliant. The egyptians were and are very clever people, and no one has the right to disrespect them and what they did.

Egyptian artist were the first to match the colors of the skin tones to the exact or as close as possible. The mummies that have been found offer us a good look into how they made their daily lives in the ancient world. So do your homework a bit more and please be a bit respectful. By looking at the paintings, it's not hard to see that the Egyptians and King Tut were black. It irritates me that movies and researchers want to claim them to be white when it clearly shows they weren't white at all.

A very nice shot of the tomb paintings starts at :20. You see most of them as the camera pans. You also see Tut's signature quartzite sarcophagus at center. The burial chamber was the only part of the tomb to receive wall decorations. LOL This is certainly Tut's tomb, so I guess you're the Tooth Fairy. That doorway at the start, with the Egyptian standing there, was where Carter poked a hole through to look inside, and said to Carnarvon, "Wonderful things!"
