  • We need Russ Feingold back.

  • And now the only guy who was actually looking after you, didnt win the election. Pathetic! There is something very wrong in America...

  • hes gone..

  • Exactly, Cenk!

    I love Russ Feingold.

  • At what part does the government ask the people what they want?

  • Feingold is also one of the few who tried to fight the Patriot act...

  • @Melpheos1er I believe he was the ONLY senator to vote against the Patriot Act of 2001 and later in 2005 led a coalition to change the act. He also voted against going to war in Iraq. That takes balls. There are very few straight, fairly honest politicians. Feingold seems to be one of them.

  • Cenk, when are u going to get Charlie Veith from the Love Police on your show?

  • Liberals need to adjust their perception of Washington, there is extensive pandering and corruption for special and union interests, but it is almost all on the Democratic side. Remember during the 2008 campaign, McCain didn't take a single cent of special interest money (unlike the "great populist hero" Obama) and the Republican party has consistently stood up for the issues that affect all Americans, like ending slavery, ending discrimination, protecting America, and protecting freedom abroad.

  • @tehant1liberal Union interests??

What the hell has Obama done for unions?

The special interests that are REALLY being pandered to are the banks and corporations, especially during the eight years of Bush, when Halliburton was god.

  • @tehant1liberal Are you trolling? Show me where The current Republican Party has down anything to end discrimination. Key word, current. The Republicans of Lincoln's time were today's Democrats ( they lived in large cities whereas the Democrats controlled the deep south). The current party lines were formed around the time of FDR. So you want to talk discrimination, look at the Civil Right's Act. It was voted for almost totally on North/South and not party lines.

  • @yzman123 yes he is trolling, he is one of the handful of losers who have nothing better to do than spew right-wing propaganda on TYT videos in an attempt to get some attention, because their daddies didn't hug them when they were little.

  • @tehant1liberal What are you talking about? McCain took tons of special interests money. Not to mention he had a ton of lobbyists working on his campaign. and the Republican Party that ended slavery and discrimination was in the 1800s. Plus remember The Civil Rights Act of 1964? That was passed by a Democratic President and signed into law by Lyndon Johnson a Democratic President. Also remember the guy who ran against Johnson Barry Goldwater? Did he like black people? No!

  • Former TURK OF THE WEEK Scott Brown?

  • i have a man-crush on russ feingold. i love him as much as i hate that awful woman who blew the election against scott brown.

  • This is why we Europeans hate patriotism, because it's about accepting your country the way it is and not as it should be. Obama's the right man, just maybe in the wrong place.

  • Brown is just MOTS.

  • Cenk. I love Russ Feingold but your forgetting that he along with all the other senate democrats voted for the senate health care reform bill which you criticized. I'd still vote for Feingold though I'm just saying.

  • @bart11114 Even though you criticized Feingold here, I gave you a thumbs up because you are still able to vote for the guy. I didn't like the health care bill ( I refuse to call it reform) either, but I still respect Feingold a great deal. I don't live in WI. I wish I did so I could vote for the guy. Not that he hasn't ever pissed me off... still, I respect him more than any other politician.

  • Congress has spent so long convincing itself that it knows best that it cannot imagine otherwise. Senators and Congressmen all drink from the same Kool-Aid trough, and they suffer from the same groupthink that religious cults do. They believe that their oh-so-clever image of "reality" - IS Reality. When Reality reasserts itself, they are dumbstruck!

  • The whole "deficit hawk" stance is once again exposed as the outrageous hypocrisy it is. $19 Billion for the bankers - which gets paid by the taxpayers; oops, put Social Security on the block - who pays again?

  • lol this is why i love living in Canada :D

  • Met with Scott Browns staff on some very important issues, Brown is shamelessly in the tank. Walked away with nothing

  • i really hope they end up doing the deal with feingold not fucking scott brown.

  • The fact the Feingold keeps getting reelected here in Wisconsin makes me proud of my state.

  • "Robert Byrd died, there goes another vote!".come on cenk, that sounded a little too cold for comfort. he is not even in the ground yet.. -_-'

  • @evilblades Panties in a bunch much?

  • @evilblades So you mean there is still a chance of resurrection?

  • @Parralyzed i say we gather up as many republicans as possible, tell them to start praying, and maybe we can make something happend :P

  • Damnit.

American politics are so fucked up.

every free thinking person knows who the villains are and know that they do, but no one can do anything about it.

  • "He just did a republican and kicked him in the nads" hehe

  • There are very few people who are always right on the issues. Fiengold and Franken are two of them.

  • I honestly think Washington is so corrupt that even an honest politician, not saying Brown was one, will end up being corrupted. Real reform will never happen until lobbying is made illegal and we go to public financed elections.

  • @TheUSMetalhead Lobbying shouldn't be made illegal, but it should be illegal for political candidates to accept private money.

  • Dude all the politicians are in a secret society to fuck over all their voters, wakeup and smell the piss on your selves

  • BTW, Feingold is clearly a moron since wall street / mainstream banks had nothing to do with the Great Depression. Glass-Steagal was an irrelevant law. The cause of the Great Depression was the Federal Reserve's contractionary monetary policy and the sluggish recovery was due to the Fed's failure to level target, Roosevelt's NIRA, and continued dysfunction in credit intermediation (due to the Fed letting the banks fail by allowing nominal growth expectations to plummet).

  • The tax incidence literature will tell you it doesn't matter whether you tax the consumer directly or the company directly - either way the consumer pays it. There's no such thing as "corporate taxes," they are merely just disguised consumer taxes. Let's not pretend taxes the banks and financial firms isn't equivalent to taxes their customers - it is.

Now, it doesn't mean the tax is necessarily a bad idea, but it's not like the firms actually pay it themselves.

  • @ASRIBEIRIO It needs to be tied to the net worth and profit of the top employees and the business itself instead of being a fine. It also needs to be effective for life and despite any bankruptcies of any party.

  • @Starry2000

Are you suggesting we tax the employees directly? I don't really understand your proposal.

  • So remove the amendments put in for Brown. That's exactly what happened with Healthcare reform.

  • Cantwell did not say she wasn't going to vote for it. Sounds like the turks are focusing on an older piece of information or that they have some crystal ball. Cantwell said she isn't sure yet if she will or wont. BTW without some bipartisan support you can kiss any bill at this stage goodbye.

  • I actually like Feingold I'm just depressed is all. I wanted the bill to be stronger but feel that their really is no way to get the kind of bill through the senate that he would like. I also am suspicious that he's playing politics due to election time. BTW Maria Cantwell isn't sure if she's going to vote for it or not yet. I know it isn't perfect and its weak but saying that we need to get this done and if this is the best that this pathetic congress can do than we'll stick with that. :(

  • I know that Cenk really hates Obama with all his heart and hopes something bad happens to him.

  • wasn't it clear from the g20 summit that they didn't want any cooperation in globally reforming the financial system? Let The US hit his head twice... It seems that being ignorant is becoming a way of life in the US. it would be interesting to see when they taste the coffee and see that US might is dwindling due to a second economic collapse. And then they can blame it on the Mexicans again

  • Feingold has integrity. I've never heard anything about his work that made me frown.

  • OFCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAARSSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • Brown and Feingold are TRULY Sarah Palin's DICKLESS and BALLESS BITCHES and PUSSIES. Palin is a SUPERIOR politician and statesman than these phony ass-clowns could ever be. She is MORE MAN than they are for they all wear the skirts in their families while their wives wear the pants! Palin will FULLY expose Brown's PUSSY for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE and prove that he is just a phony! Palin will prevent another collapse of our financial and economic system with Palinomics and repeal this reform!

  • @ecwaufisxtreme I almost took you for serious until the word Palinomics. lol.

  • @Swidhelm isn't palinomics about giving money strictly to the rich and taxing the poor 70 percent?

  • @glddraco Only if you are representing the rich and get a cut of it, yes :P

  • @ecwaufisxtreme hahaha. you're a joke. it's only fair you support the brainless palin.

  • He's voting no because he sees that it's a piece of crap.

  • Is Feingold another Jew?

  • duh ! of course and his name is a phucked up anglicised version too.

  • I'm voting for Feingold this election.

  • Could someone direct me to some sources for Scott Brown doing this? I wanna edit wikipedia. Its the lazy peoples research so we gotta keep them notified.

  • On, Wisconsin!

  • Republicans....lol I

"I promise you this, then I kick you in the nads"

  • no real surprise here

    thumbs up

  • END THE FUCKING FEDERAL RESERVE!! it is designed for us to be in debt. Globalization here we come!

  • Comment removed

  • Who's ready for a global depression?

We're on a highway to hell! Yehaw!

  • Obama's change we can believe indeed.

  • Yayy something good happened..sort of.

  • All of the current financial reform negotiations are pointless whilst ever there exists a fractional reserve banking system that can print money out of thin air. True reform would be to abolish the central bank and abolish the legal tender laws and allow gold and silver to resume their natural place as the people's medium of exchange.

  • I thought the Financial Reform Bill passed last week? I definitely misheard the News. comes to show what a space case I am :(

I like Feingold and trust him though.

  • Scott Brown is a strong believer in the free market. As long as it doesn't cost him or his corporate pimps anything, it's fine. As long as they get all the reward with none of the risk, it's fine.

  • @l0gically i agree

  • The borg does not allow for different thinking. He must comply or die.

  • if the bill doesn't protect the people, then it is not REFORM.

  • Cenk how do you stay upbeat about the Government, Every few days i have to take a break from the news.

  • Good for Feingold.

His holding out just might force a real reform bill to happen.

  • holy shit but "OF COOOOURSE" that was pretty funny

  • Feingold and Franken seem like the only true progressives left, Feingold is the only person who didn't vote for the PATRIOT Act and Franken is just plain awesome. FEINGOLD + FRANKEN!!!

  • @GabrielPFoulkes Don't forget Alan Grayson!

  • @GabrielPFoulkes

Don't forget Anthony Weiner or Alan Grayson!

  • @2punchpikey I would have said Weiner up until recently...

I don't feel like starting another war in the Middle East for the sole purpose of defending Israel though.

  • @bazballnut94

Dammit Weiner! ...why ya gotta be a dick like that?

  • The financial reform bill is a joke according to the Streettalklive experts.

Barney Frank has backdoored taxpayer money to pay for Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac.

Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac has cost us 145 billion....more than AIG.

If the Banksters don't get their way, they will cause another calamity of some type(like the May 6th 1,000 point plunge/recovery).

  • Feingold stands on principle, one of the few members of our governing body that does so. Only Senator to vote against the completely illegal Patriot Act. No one will ever get a vote of min other than Russ so long as he's running.

  • Why do republicans and tea partiers put the well being of giant corporations and the top 1% of america ahead of everybody else. What about the other 99%?

  • @spinnersmetal Because their leaders are paid handsomely to make sure corporate interests are well represented. FOX news and Koch Industries and Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin own and operate the Teabaggers.

  • Feingold/Franken 2012!

  • @dangerouslytalented

Franken needs to first join Feingold on voting no on this joke of a bill.

  • @dangerouslytalented

What I don't get is why is Barney Frank in support of this crap?

Unrestricted capitalism is the true cancer of the world.

  • @swho23 Because Barney Frank is a turn coat shit bag, he just like most of the rest is working for corporations best interests!

Al Frankin "Franklen" from Minnesota is a guy you really want to support.

  • @dangerouslytalented Franken works for the fucking corporations, fuck his pop tart ass!

  • @scorpionkings

    proof?

  • @pokeyugi13 TYT has shown examples of Franken showing his loyalty to corporations many times

  • What are the odds Hannity brings this up every day for weeks? Probably not likely because a Republican did it.

  • @Truefan512 He will, and will blame the Democrats.

  • @dangerouslytalented Excuse me I meant Barney Frank..

  • When there is another collapse it will be tough. Hardcore republicans have been fed the idea of anti-government anarchy since Reagan. The Democrats don't know how to function without a power-base to suck up to. Who will lead us out of the depression, disparity and fascism we face?

  • @chenalos

I will. Just gimmie a call when yall are ready.

  • Awesome Russ, you were the first Senator I voted for and the one vote I have never regretted.

  • @Hopeful71 Oh, if only there were 99 more senators like him.

  • @dangerouslytalented Or even enough to just get past a filibuster....

  • first

  • Unreal.

  • we love you guys!

  • thumbs up just because today was a good day :D

  • @iphone6944 you're lucky, my day sucked shit

  • @TAz69x well tomorrow might be better get out and do something new sub to my channel

  • should i say that?
