Oh and to leave feedback , I don't recommend this camera to carry around with you everywhere to film " moments " , water falls, etc. The camera is to big for that , and heavy . Other then that, is a fantastic camera. Have dropped it from a meter and up, nothing happened to it. Fantastic quality of video and self structure . 10/10 .

I dont think flash based cameras do stack up YET. But again the HV series sufferers horribly from vibration and rolling shutter.

hey buddy i'm thinking of an SR-11 does the zoom meter have some sort of indication either in numbers saying for instance 12x (the optical max zoom of the SR11) of some sort of transition into digital zooming as it would be handy to know as to maintain highest quality while using optical rather than digital zoom , also may I ask how does the digital zoom look on the higher zoom levels? Ideally if you can tell me does optical zoom at 12x a sufficient level say to zoom into a plane 1km away ?

nice video...The only problem is that when speaking into the mic, which is presumably plugged into youre mixer, youre mic doesnt get put through the booth out. The mic only goes out through the master out, so what you can do is get an rca splitter and split the master out so one goes to youre pc or cam, and the other to youre amp or powered speakers which is what I have :P.

BUYER BEWARE. I bought this camera, thinking it was okay, not wanting to quite spend the money on a prosumer one for a while. THE HD IS FILMED IN AVCHD. which translates over to an m2ts format. this cannot be edited by any adobe programs up until CS4. Great camera, cool quality and awsome features, but it definitly has a few problems with older software.

I'm not sure, but usually the built-in mic turns off if you plug a jack into the mic-input. So it won't be a good idea to plug in the mixer audio source, or Jonathan will have to draw lots of signs to explain what he's doing. Correct me if I'm wrong, Jonathan
