  • well i'm from madison wi n i think u sound normal like every other wisconsin peoples do

  • yes you do.lol

  • You don't have an accent whatsoever. I do live around the Madison, WI area so that's probably why you sound completely normal to me.

  • its not a Wisconsin accent its a Midwest accent. Midwestern people say their I's and A's in a different way. not a bad thing but just sayin

  • weird accent

  • your hot :D

  • sorta

  • I go to school in massachusetts and they make fun of how i say bag, flag, and tour. proud to be from wisco <3

  • I guess soo..... i am a wisconsinite:)

  • i guess soo....

  • I love how us Wisconsinites sound <333 bag not baag and milk not melk or malk

  • uhhh idk d we hav accents?

  • @TheTellytubbie101 i dont think so, but a lotta people say we do

  • Comment removed

  • I grew up not far from you and Hon, you truly don't have any accent whatsoever :)

  • I don't think so... I'm from WI..

  • The point of this video IS...... TO MAKE PEOPLE HATE YOUTUBE. Because that's what you are doing!

  • You dont have an accent babe. Im from sheboygan, I got yer back ;)

  • yeah, thats a wisconsin accent alright. (CA residents pronounce the word "car" as "cawr", WI residents pronounce it cahr) EX: "hey marge, run out to da cahr n grab me a beer, da packerz game is bout to start! WI accents: nasally voice. another example: Wisconsin - oh yaahhh! CA: Oh yeah! "doncha know".... if you get ahold of the old cartoon "bobby", listen to his mom's northern accent. thats what im talkin about. Half-Canadian, half north-central US accent.

  • @RubbaDub9202 seriously, talk about being especially stereotypical.....not everyone from Wisconsin speaks like rednecks....unless you are from, or know someone from Wisconsin, you really should make comments like this because you're only showing how closed minded you really are.

  • yeah, thats a wisconsin accent alright. • Yes you do. I'm from Illinois and have a similar accent but mine's a little less noticeable. The main thing I've noticed is that we tend to kind of drag out the "A" in some words.

  • r u from hartford?

  • @bekhmm yeah.. r you? lol

  • @sasssy444 yup haha! i thought u lookd familar. probaby recognize u from huhs

  • @sasssy444 Wait Hartford Connecticut, if so I was born in New Haven and am living in Oak Creek

  • @bekhmm

    i dont recognize her bruh...

    haha

  • i have a friend who is from wisconsin and you sound like her.. so ya

  • Well we do I'm from Wisconsin and just moved to Indiana we do kinda have like northern one they don't say is bubblers over here they say "water fountains" weird I feels like I'm living I'm the south lol they all have southern accents

  • @cheeveka3 Y'all.

  • We do I'm from Wisconsin and just moved to Indiana in the southern part ya we do people down here have southern accents

  • yes you have a WI accent

  • which part of wisconsin are you from? the best way to tell is if you say boots or wisconsin those words are very easy words to pick up an accent. most people in the south of wisconsin dont have a noticable accent. up north (nordth) it seems like everyone has a very noticable accent

  • Say: "Put the wall sconces in Wisconsin". If "sconces" \ˈskän(t)ses\ sounded exactly like "WiSCONSin" then you have a Wisconsin accent.

  • sound ok to me but I lived in wisconsin my whole life

  • fyi... wisconsinites dont call it "pop", unless they're EXTREMELY odd

  • Ya you do. U r really pretty also

  • Yes you do...its not annoying...except when your on vacation in places like Florida or Las Vegas...and ask for "Pop" instead of soda...

  • hey-ave...Ooo-kay...ak-senANT....

  • disliked for being obnoxious annoying time-wasting cunt

  • reminded me of boxy.

  • I moved here just a year ago - and I'm already picking up on the accent. In fact, mine has become so strong that I even hear it myself because I can still hear other people's since I was not raised here. Sometimes I say something and think... WTF just came out of my mouth lol.

    And yes, you do!

  • u have really pretty eyes =)

  • yep you do

  • Yes, slightly, it's not that strong though.

  • Everyone has accents. They just don't know it. Lol

  • you. are so annoying.

  • i live in wisconsin and yes you do have the accent or what people call the accent just listen to the way you say know... truthfully we dont have a strong accent we just know how to speak core clearly and pronounce our words and why is it most people think we sound like canadians? i dont say ehh or say boot instead of about so take your stupidity and make fun of people from canada

  • yes.

  • yes you do

  • You definitely have a Wisconsin accent. The word Wisconsin said by a native to me sounds like "Wis-can-sin". I'm from South Carolina, so I'm pretty sure I talk weird to you and tons of other people. We all have accents no matter where you live in the US.

  • @dibathory i say wis-con-sin so it depends where people are from

  • Uh... you're from Wisconsin, you don't have an accent so you don't talk funny. New Yorkers talk funny. People from Boston talk funny. Southerners talk funny. You don' t talk funny. K?

  • nope.

  • you've got an accent :P

  • Ugh, no one here actually says "'Sconnie."

  • u do.

  • Yes you have a Wisconsin accent!!! Example "I don't really know." Listen to it yourself..."dooont really knooow." Very obvious - and I'm from Sconnie. Go Pack!

  • @tmacdady Sconnie? NO ONE says Sconnie. That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard.

  • i don't think you have an accent

  • Lol. Somehow I'm from Wisconsin. And I have an accent.

But I can TELL we have accents because we draw out our O's :DD

  • I'm from arizona and you guys say your A's funny lol. Try and say AIRizona, u guys say AAARizona haha but in arizona we dont say our T's apparently..

  • hmmmmm.. I don't think u have one.. but I could be wrong cause I'm from Appleton and since I'm from wi I can't tell but to me u sound normal. Lol

  • you dont sounds any diferent than anyone i know, so yes you have a wisconsin accent, even though i swear we dont have one

  • @candyisbroke Ikr? My friends from other states always swear I have a weird accent, (I'm from Wisconsin) and I always disagree with them, but now that I watch these I'm starting to get freaked out that they were correct about my accent.

  • I love your wall colors. I didn't hear an accent really. The Wisconsin one is with the 'O' pronunciation and I think the rhythm of speech. I met one guy from Wisconsin, didn't think much of his accent and then I was on a plane and immediately I knew the pilot was from Wisconsin. They spoke the same recognizable way - I just can't explain it.

  • no u dont have an accent u sound like me a normal voice as people say a wisconsin vioce o and btw i luv ur hair!!! <3

  • people in wausau don't have an accent. they speak perfect english. well, except for all the damn hmongs that don't speak any english.

  • u dont sound funny to me. but, haha, im from wisonsin. :)

  • You do have a Wis-Gahn-sin accent... I'm from NC and I here it very easily

  • @jmparrish Dame it Wisconsin does not have an H in it it's spoken exactly how it looks Wis - con - sin.

  • when you say "Know" you kinda do lol i took an dialects class in college along with V.P.S which is voice production and speech, and WI dialects involve flat vowels and bla bla bla haha but basically yea you kinda do have one. :)

  • I'm from Waukesha WI, we all just have a nasal accent..:)

  • Yes, she does have a Wisconsin accent. But it's not as pronounced as that of my relatives in Gilman. I grew up in Rockford, IL and we have a similar accent, it's just not as intense as it is up north.

I have lived in Texas for the last 18 years. When I go home now, everyone there sounds so weird to me. Never mind that I spent the first 23 years of my life in Rockford!

  • @booboobabies Hi: How funny, I've lived in Rockford, IL my whole life (51) years and I swear we have the "perfect" dialect and NO accents! heehee I went to Houston last week to visit my brother, and everyone there guessed I was from the midwest! I was floored. Well, they'd say you must be from Chicago????? I was expecting lots of heavy, thick, slow southern drawls, but actually some people had slight accents. Whereabouts do you live in Texas? I loved it there and didn't want to come back

  • WE DONT HAVE A GOD DAMN ACCENT.

  • @randomchiick1

    uh yess yall do

  • @symoneisthebomb nopee.

  • Yes, girlie... You do. You kind of say O's like "auuu" and exaggerate your vowels a lot (and not when you do it on purpose)... And "Wizgonzin aggzent"... "Yooootoooob" "daun't knau" "aught" "faunny".

  • haha wisconsinites dont have an accent!!!!!!lol there is no such thing as a wisconsin accent!lol

  • I'm from Wisconsin and I think you talk like you're from Wisconsin. I'm used to the "accent" so I don't think you talk funny.

  • no u dont sound like your from wisonsin...even if u are you dont got the talk

  • i'd say no you don't, and from wisconsin

  • You do, but it's not very strong. Your "o's" are fairly closed, and when they come after a nasal consonant, like in the word "know", they become nasal. That's one distinctive quality of the Wisconsin accent.

It's not strong, but you can tell you're from the midwest.

It's so great! Wisconsin is the best place in the whole world :-)

  • im from wisconsin...doesnt sound any different than how i talk

  • yup, i live in good ol' WI and you totally have the accent. sorry for you!

  • you're saying Wiscansin.

  • i'm from wisconsin too! (: apparently we emphasize your O's, making them seem longer, but idk i can't tell.

  • You can tell when you said words like "I dOn't really knOw" and "figure OUT". The way you stress the O's in 'don't' and 'know' is clearly a Wisconsin accent. It took ten years after moving away from WI that I can now easily pick up on those signs. Also many times we hold the 'O' and 'ay' sounds in words a slight second longer than other people to the point it almost becomes two syllables long. People in WI don't recognize this, but it sounds very funny to others.

  • it's what you have.

  • yall prnonce things wierd like fag yall

    say "FEG"

  • a girl i work with says we have an accent lol. she says we "emphasize" our vowels. like saying wiscONsin or bag (BAYg)

  • Ja, can tell you're from Cheeseland, not from up nort' like 'round Hayward and so, ja'? 'Sconnies are the best !!!!! GO BADGERS!!! :-)

  • Ok, so..I'm trying to figure ouwwt if I have a Wisconsin accent, I don't really knoooooow-. ... So if you could just let me knooooooooow. And very nasal... OF COURSE YOU DO. And I am guessing you are from -- southwestern Wisconsin possibly closer to Illinois......You sound more polished because you did not drop the "g" on trying. I lived all over Wisconsin sooooooooh, just guessin' LOL --All the best, you bet---

  • Nope, I was just through there yesterday. I talked with a State Trooper at a Service Station and he had a HEAVY "don't-cha-know" accent.

  • Nah, not really. I can tell you're from Wisconsin, but I can't tell from where. I grew up in Illinois, about 5 minutes from Wisconsin, and yea, you do have a slight accent. You don't sound funny but I live in NC now and I can definitely tell you're from "home" lol.

  • oooo u betchya u gotta wisconsin accent. now lets see here. oh boy ive hadda wisconsin accent since just arounde the time i could talk dontcha know.

  • im from the south and

    your voice sounds wierd

    lol

    its not your voice

    its just your accent

  • @symoneisthebomb wha????? our wisconsin accent sounds wierd? well that southern accent sounds wierd to us.

  • Be Proud!! :p

  • I saw a list of things people from Wisconsin sound like and it really sounds like how YOU AND ME TALK! LOL. It's kinda crazy actually!

  • I would say yes! And I have to say that you are looking smoking though too lol!

  • "If you could let me know-a" There's your hint.

  • Listen very carefully. it is so strong you cannot here it.

    a pronounced as e ...long o and y in place of e s

try it. o very high pitched and in the nose.

  • lol we dont really have an accent. you have more a minnesota accent. you dont talk funny though. but im from WI/MN so i wouldnt know! LOL :D

  • if you live in wisconsin your gonna pick it up you just wont tell haha i cant tell i have one but i def. do. but ive been told we have the best and easiest to understand accent around so it's all good cutiee

  • it's funny how the video caught you with a funny face when you're so attractive in every other frame lol

from Madison here and of course i think you sound normal but yeah people from outside Wis like to rag on us cause they don't have their own accent. they're just jealous! LOL

what's wrong with the way she said have? someone tell me???

  • You have a Wisconsin accent but it's very slight.

  • Yes you have an accent. I live in Orlando, and my family lives in Wiscaansin :)

its cute how all of you wisconsinites "doont knoow if ya got an aaeccent dere" lol

  • No i don't think you speak with a Wsscansin accent. You sound like any other american on the street. Your accent is not distinct in any way.

  • Oh yeah. You do. 'Hyave' instead of 'have' and Wsscansin.

  • you do, and its hot as hell!

  • Comment removed

  • You have the midwest accent with a bit of affected Valley Girl.

  • you have to say "bag" or "tag" for anyone to know if you have a TRUE wisconsin accent.. iv come to THAT realization!

  • yes. I just returned from WI.

  • yea... but don't worry cause it's not half as bad as other people's

  • ya ya do im orig from pewaukke but we speak diff in pewaukkee

  • is that the pewaukee right by hartland? i'm from nashotah and i'd say everyone has a slight accent, we just dont realise it.

  • Oh Harltand... may I never return

  • you doooo.

  • Yes ma'am you do.

I'm in Milwaukee. Originally from Wausau.

  • Yep...you have a Wisconsin accent.

  • you do

  • I hear your accent! well, not really, you just say some words different. like 'have' and 'wisconsin' and 'video' a little bit. im not from wisconsin though, im from canada! haha and we say words weird too, im always catching myself saying the word 'about' closer to 'aboot'. and eh, lol. i heard people from wisconsin say eh sometimes too, i dont know if its true though :s

  • hey its patokaaa. sign into youtube and notice that ive commented youu lol

  • no accent but you are very sexy

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolz

  • Didn't hear it.

    -Matt

    Fox Cities

  • yes, i am from wisconsin, EVEN there is different accents in the northwoods, central and what the hell else other places, me im in the central area, but yes you do have wisconsin accent or if there even is one and everybody else's accent is crappy.

  • Comment removed

  • i don;t think you have an accent...but you're really beautiful

  • & another thing.

    i pronounce wisconsin

    wis-cahn-sin (like you)

i hate it when people break up the wis & the con like there's a space there

like" wis-Con-Sen. (mainly people from the south)

& you dont say have. weird. i say it the same

  • i think you sound normal. once again, from wisconsin here..haha

i think it's the funniest thing when people say: are you from wisconsin? and i'm all like, yeah, why? they're like, your accent.

apparently we say our o's really long.

    looooooooooooooooooooooooong.

    aha

  • There is no such thing as a Wisconsin accent. There are just simply bad accents around the globe, except for Wisconsin.

The WI accent is actually pretty mild when you consider the south, east coast and west coast. Good fer us, ya kno?

  • Hmmm...I'm from WI, and you sound just fine, so I suppose you might, but I do go out of state a lot. What do you call a drinking fountain? Bubbler or drinking fountain?

  • are you actually from wisconsin? sounds like you're faking it

  • I'm from south central WI, So you sound absolutely fine to me... when you get to Northern WI around the U.P. of Michigan and such, you'll find people with a strong typical accent.

I've been told of the "WI accent" and I'd say that its typically a very mild one in comparison to people in the southern states and the "Valley girls" of California and Arizona...

Its all english, as long as you can understand it, then who cares, you know?

  • 1. you have an accent....watch any maintstream tv and they sound different right? its not them its you...and second...whats with your 80's porno hair

  • I think her hair is hot

  • Dude, who cares? She's gorgeous!

  • Danite, grow up, her hari is beautiful!

  • yeah you do, the way you say "have" gives it away

  • i never knew a wisconsin accent exsisted until i went to tennessee and this random store lady told me i said stuff funny. lmfao

  • yes you do have a wisconsin accent

  • omg your hairs really pretty! :D

    && i'm from PA and i don't think u sound funny

    -Rachael

  • aw thanks!!! :)

  • We don't have an accent in Wisconsin. According to the national media. The way we talk is Midwestern Standard, which is what is spoken on national news broadcasts.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha please tell me you're joking.

  • Wisconsites have very noticeable discernable accents. Midwestern Standard could be heard in places like Indianapolis or Kansas City. And no, they do not have southern accents, go ask anyone from Alabama or Mississipp- they would say folks from Kansas City or Indianapolis sound like a bunch of damn yankees. However for people from Wisconsin, who have very distinct accents, those from Kansas City and Indianapolis would likely sound southern

  • wow, i didn't expect to find you here on a random youtube video! guess who i am? oh and you do have a slight wisconsin accent too lol

  • Not really. To me, you pronounce Wisconsin like a flatlander. I've been trying to catch our accents here, and where I'm from, we tend to say "Wahsconsin" and "Mahwaukee." I was raised near Milwaukee, but most of us do say it like that. You say "Wiscahnsin" which is kinda close, but...not really.

  • "it kinda sounds like you say "wiscAnsin"."

hey dumbass, the way people from wisconsin say it is the right way to say it. I don't know where people like you get off telling us what to call our home but if you don't say it the way she said it then you are the one saying it with an accent.

  • You do a little bit, not as thick as the people from up north but it's noticeable. You probably are from the southern part of the state and live relatively close to either Madison or Milwaukee.

  • first of all, you are gorgeous, and second, you have a little WI accent because you stressed your "A", when you said have it sounded like you said hyave... but you're still beautiful

  • yeah, a little, not too strong though

  • ahhhaa. yeah right. i'm totally saying wisCONsin lol

idkkk. maybe i don't hear it.

  • @sasssy444 Yeah, also from SC... I hear "Wizgahnzin".

  • wisconsin really doesnt have an accent.

  • cheesedude13, we totally have an accent. Not as noticeable as some accents, but we do.

  • dude, yes they do!

  • no i can't hear it but i'm from wisconsin so i don't know

  • I was raised in N Wisconsin so I don't think you sound funny but you definitely have an accent esp. when you say Wisconsin (I still say it the same as you though, can't help it), know, so, and out. A lot of people from WI have much stronger accents than you and a lot of people around the country find the WI accent endearing so no big whoop :-)

  • yes you do, Im from down south, and you have the same accent as my buddy from wisconsin, as indicated when you said the word wisconsin, which you made the o sounds more like an a. wiscAnsin. Theres more, but you definetely got the WI accent

  • i;m from wi , so i cant help! i wonder it ,bc they always say we talk funnnnnny

  • BTW, I would type a hell of a lot more on these but there is a character limit! Don't these sites know I like to blab on endlessly?

  • Wisconsin accents are very hard to depict. This is mostly due to the fact of the upper midwest's "purity" of the language. Our accent is shared with Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan and some parts of the New England region.

This is mostly credited to the higher education (irony I know) of our region. Our minor impurities stem from vowel mergers. A test of purity would mean that words like 'caught' and 'cot' should sound distinctly different. In the end it really comes down to the words we use daily

  • Comment removed

  • so i dont talk funny?

    lol

    but i have an accent?

i dont really notice what the accent sounds like.

    i just dont get it.

  • @sasssy444 no i dont think you do. i am from wisconsin but my mom is from kentucky so i dont know wat i have, i kind of sound like a miley cyrus :)
